Rosenbaum Fair returns to Rio de Janeiro after four years
The Rosenbaum Fair is back in Rio de Janeiro after a four-year hiatus. The return marks a significant moment for the region’s cultural and design scene. The event is scheduled to take place at the Instituto Europeu di Design, located in the city center, from April 11 to 14. This year's Fair will feature notable talents, including Pedro Leal , whose work in handcrafted wood design has been gaining increasing prominence in the contemporary design scene. Another highlight is the presence of Experimental , a brand that explores non-obvious trends in the construction of design, decoration and furniture pieces.

“Rio de Janeiro, one of the great cradles of our culture, plays a vital role in the preservation and renewal of Brazilian identity. Four years after the last edition and during a pandemic, the Rosenbaum Fair returns to the heart of the city, reaffirming the importance of valuing traditional knowledge. This space not only serves as a meeting point for artists and artisans, but also as a catalyst for the dynamic fusion between tradition and innovation. Resilient and inspiring, Rio continues to be fertile ground for the celebration of the Brazilian Soul, and the Fair emerges as an essential link in the preservation of national memory,” comments Cris Rosenbaum , curator of the fair that she created alongside Marcelo Rosenbaum , co-founder and advisor.
As part of its educational program, the Rosenbaum Fair will bring to this edition an unprecedented meeting with designers and artisans that will take place on the first day of the event and will be moderated by journalist Celina Mello Franco , under the theme “ Design vs. Crafts? ”, suggested by designer Pedro Galaso . Among the guests – who bring together designers, artisans and teachers – are Manuela Almeida and Pedro Leal, Philipe Fonseca and Luciana Duque, Mônica Carvalho and Thomaz Brasil , who will address the stories and ancestry behind different artisan cultures, discuss the role of design and crafts and also the future of these two territories.

Among the exhibitors, artisans and designers will come from different Brazilian states, such as Goiás, Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Pará, Pernambuco and Bahia to present different references and novelties in furniture, design objects, accessories and the looks that will make up this and the next season. The Rosenbaum Fair also reserves space for the experimental aspect, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore innovative creations and avant-garde concepts.
