Rosenbaum Fair at DW! 2023: Everything we know so far!

Design Weekend fans will have plenty of reasons to visit the 2023 event, which takes place between March 11 and 19 , especially to check out the trends from the Fair at Rosenbaum , which will occupy the shopping gallery of the iconic Condomínio Zarvos , a development that connects Avenida São Luiz with Rua da Consolação – important roads in the central region of São Paulo. São Paulo is full of iconic buildings designed by great masters of architecture, such as Lina Bo Bardi and Oscar Niemeyer . Rosenbaum's presence redefines the condominium , rescues the historical, cultural and architectural legacy of the development, stimulates the local creative economy, adds to the surrounding area and promotes narrative connections with artists and designers from different states and regions of Brazil.

What to expect from the Rosenbaum Fair?

The 500 m² of the central gallery will be divided into two floors, which will feature original works signed by 70 artists and companies , where design, art, decoration, fashion, well-being and gastronomy products will be present, in a powerful and effective entrepreneurial and social action aimed at the center of São Paulo. During the urban festival, the Rosenbaum Fair will hold a collaborative exhibition featuring national carpentry talents , in collaboration with textile designers. The cultural program will include concerts, lectures and talks. The Rosenbaum Fair promotes the Almerinda Malaquias Foundation, in Amazonas, and supports the Salão Design 2023 Award . In addition, the event is an initiative of the Furniture Industry Union of Bento Gonçalves, Sindmóveis , which aims to reward talents in industrial furniture design .

With registration open between February 7th and April 4th, 2023 , the judging is done in two stages. The first action will take place between April 12th and May 5th , the announcement of the products selected for the next phase will be on May 16th . The winning products will be announced on July 24th .

With important names from the Brazilian design universe, the jury of the first stage will be composed of Adriana Fontana , vice-president of ABD - Brazilian Association of Interior Designers; Ana Paula Coelho , coordinator of the Design courses at the Belas Artes SP University Center; Eduardo Nuncio , designer representing the furniture industry in Bento Gonçalves; Rodolpho Gutierrez , advisor and representative of CBD - Centro Brasil Design; and Sidnei Schenatto , technical representative of SENAI. In the second stage, the jury will be formed by Adélia Borges , design critic; Cris Bava , content and marketing director at CASACOR ; designer and YouTuber Paulo Biacchi ; Thaís Lauton , Editorial Director of Casa e Jardim magazine; and Winnie Bastian , architect and journalist specializing in design.
