The 7th edition of Design Weekend (DW!), considered the largest urban design festival in Latin America, will take place until September 2nd. FAS Iluminação will be present at the event with a tribute to lighting designer Ingo Maurer.
Created by Arystela Rosa Paz, director of FAS Iluminação, the installation addresses the theme "Deconstruction" and displays iconic pieces by Maurer - some of which were even created for the brand. These are lamps that bring a creative explosion - both of materials and ideas - that provoke the senses. The surprise provided by FAS is the interaction between the public and the installation.
The installation also features the work High Definition, by Luiz Zerbini, one of the artist's most important paintings. In addition to this painting, which is part of Inhotim's permanent collection, the artist is also exhibiting two prints made exclusively for Inhotim's patrons, both for sale at FAS.
Another surprise will be present at the event: a photograph of Pablo Picasso, portrayed in a moment of relaxation. The image is a gift from Maurer to Arystela. On the ground floor, visitors can also see a graffiti mural on the back wall of the showroom, the work of Rogério Pedro, known for his use of colors and deconstruction of shapes.
