Recognized as one of the five largest design fairs in the world, DW! São Paulo Design Week arrives at its 9th edition in 2020. In accordance with all health and safety protocols, the fair takes place between the 8th and 14th November in a hybrid format – in person and digital. Thus, simultaneously with the event in stores, galleries and studios, as well as gardens and rooftops around the city, DW! is also making a series of online content available on the official website . With the aim of engaging the design community in finding solutions to the new challenges posed by the pandemic, DW! invited a team of creatives and professionals to contribute to society at a time when it needs it most. +55 Design

An already renowned piece by Bruno de Carvalho, the Sela swing will be relaunched exclusively by +55. The traditional gaucho riding saddle, which inspired the creation of the piece, received a more refined reinterpretation that uses leather from kind leather technology – an authentically sustainable leather.

Among the new releases is Marcio Kogan's Portuguese table – a complex piece to execute, both for its length and its structure, which has four very thin feet at its ends. In it, the top was produced from tiles hand-painted by a Portuguese artisan.

The newly opened +55 Design debuts on DW! with two exclusive launches by Bruno de Carvalho and Marcio Kogam. Launched in July 2020, the brand under the command of Tatiana Amorim and Ticiana Villas Boas bets on the strength of Brazilian and sustainable design . In this way, they brought together a team of 17 of the leading names in contemporary design to launch more than 80 exclusive products – all certified with the FSC socio-environmental responsibility seal and the Origins Seal. The CASACOR cast appears in large numbers among the guests; among them, Arthur Casas, Bruno Carvalho, Guto Requena, Marilia Pellegrini, Marina Linhares, Nildo Jose and Ricardo Bello Dias.

Artefacto Beach & Country opened its traditional exhibition with 12 environments designed by Andrea Teixeira and Fernanda Negrelli, Andrezza Alencar, Bruno Carvalho, Cybele Barbosa and Erika Queiroz, Debora Aguiar, Denise Barretto, Elaine Kalil and Mauricio Ferre, Ellen Silveira and Dino Vasconcelos, Gilberto Elkis, Olegário de Sá, Rogerio and Eleonora Perez, Silvia Bitelli. Under the theme "The Essentials for Living Well" , the brand launched 30 items inspired by modernism, including pieces for interiors and exteriors. Visitors will also be able to see the installation "Dialogue", created by visual artist and designer José Marton, from Marton Estúdio .

How to create an Instagrammable decor? The answer can be found in the Bontempo workshop, which has put together exclusive content for architects and designers about finishing spaces. The guest to lead the conversation is producer Tiago Cappi, who recorded a series of videos giving tips on how to create a kitchen, a bookcase and a closet to be a hit on social media. "Social networks are fundamental tools for creating a direct connection with customers and partners. Therefore, the idea behind this action is to help everyone who works in the world of decoration to maximize their digital presence in an assertive way on these media," says Rafaela Stedile, Marketing and Training Director at Bontempo. This year, by Kamy 's launches were produced through the intelligent use of resources and materials. Designed by architect Thiago Santa Cruz and artist Kiko Maldonado, the pieces follow the theme "Metamorphosis" , a comprehensive vision of transformation and the evolution of humanity and the planet. While Cruz brings the restlessness of youth to his creations, Maldonado brings an experienced eye, with vast knowledge of techniques and processes. The products can be seen in person, through scheduled visits, at the store on Alameda Gabriel Monteiro da Silva. In addition, the store receives, until December 8th, one of the containers from the Janelas CASACOR exhibition designed by architect Léo Shehtman.

In partnership with visual artist Carolina Kowarick, the space features the Ciclo mural, where visitors can actively participate in recording the different layers of their story. To give it even more life, landscaper Flavio Abílio opted for a hanging garden, with lots of green and a vegetable garden full of fresh herbs.

Furniture Living

" Time to Be at Home" is the theme that governs Estar Móveis ' participation in DW!. With art direction by Felipe Morozini, the brand will promote a series of performances at the Alameda Gabriel store, from November 9 to 13. Artists , dancers and performers will transform Estar Moveis live into a performance art stage. The presentations can be watched in person, in the square in front of the store, or online, through the brand's social media. To kick off the activities, Ilana Bessler recorded a series of photos and videos of the performance of a character who inhabits this space.

To celebrate its new location in São Paulo, on Alameda Gabriel, Fahrer is participating in DW! with two installations in its showroom. Especially for the event, Fahrer created, in partnership with Gaya Iluminação, a conceptual installation that focuses on sensory experiences. , while proposing an interaction with the brand's furniture. Surrounded by LED lighting that can be manipulated by visitors, the pieces showcase exclusive technologies and materials. In addition to providing unique experiences, the installations demonstrate the fascinating power of artificial light and its ability to highlight, transform and create a new atmosphere.

Fair at Rosenbaum

With the aim of reinventing itself, the Rosenbaum Fair brings a different kind of fair than usual. In celebration of the home – with which we have seen our relationships transformed during isolation –, the event has transformed from the Casa Feira, a type of house with products for sale where each of the environments was designed by a different professional. Curated by Cris Rosenbaum, seven environments were created by friends and special guests, such as Marcelo Rosenbaum, Maurício Arruda, Renata Gaia, Michel Lott and Micha D'Angelo. Lider Interiors

Recently launched by Lider Interiores , the Plural collection is a response to a time when the home is beginning to focus on other functions besides living. On the second floor of the store in Alameda Gabriel, the collection can be viewed through special glasses, delivered to the customer's door. entrance to the site, which serve as a passport to an augmented reality experience. Functional, the furniture serves more than one function and moves easily through the different rooms of the house. An example of this is the Nexo, created by Ana Neute. The piece is a mix of mirror, sideboard and cabinet with sliding door, and can also be a plant stand. Urban Arts

With the theme "5 styles, 5 stories" , Urban Arts presents an exhibition to help people contemplate and reflect. The exhibition includes André Joaquim, Fabio Sola, Felipe Galvão – head of Studio Art & Co -, Marcelo Arnold and Stela Araújo and Marcos Wilke, who sign as Stela & Marcos. Their works reflect the gallery's versatility, as they are so personal that their works have become completely different from one another. The exhibition can be enjoyed in person at the Urban Arts flagship store from November 8 to 21, at Alameda Gabriel.
