DW Rio: see what CASACOR professionals have prepared for the fair

From September 3rd to 8th, the biggest design fair in Latin America will take place in RJ for the first time — and the CASACOR cast will be present at this premiere!

Art installations; launches of furniture, design pieces, products and coverings ; talks on architecture , design and urbanism and an exclusive edition of the Fair at Rosenbaum : this is how intense the program of the 1st edition of DW ! Design Week in Rio de Janeiro will be. The first Rio edition of the largest urban design festival in Latin America will take place at CasaShopping , between September 3 and 8 , and the professionals from the CASACOR cast have prepared launches for the fair's debut. Architect Mariana Monnerat , part of the CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2024 cast , is responsible for the launch of objects and furniture and reveals the new products presented by the brand at the last Milan Design Week . The company stands out for the extraction and manufacture of natural Brazilian stones , such as the blue macaúbas quartzite.

Opuyaru Balance

Dracena Home invited Areka'a to decorate the space “outside” the store. The furniture on display is made from wood collected on its own farm, giving new meaning to trees that have already fulfilled their role in nature. Some of these works will be available to be admired at the event.

The showroom is given a gallery feel by architect Mario Santos and displays works by Mônica Carvalho, Mário Lopomo and Roberto Dias. Workshops and chats with creatives, such as architect Mario Santos, complete the agenda.

At DW! Rio, Franccino inaugurates the duplication of the showroom , which now has a second floor, and launches a collection of outdoor furniture designed by Marina Linhares .

Vista Lamp and Me Leva Lamp

Lumini is launching a collection of lamps created by architect Lia Siqueira , curated by Clarissa Schneider. The Vista lamp will create a maritime atmosphere at the launch. In addition to Lia and Clarissa, Fernando Prado, Lumini's creative director and one of Brazil's most awarded designers, will also be present.

Furniture and lighting collection by Lucas Takaoka

The store is taking the opportunity to present the latest additions to its portfolio by launching new lines. The collection of furniture and lighting by designer Lucas Takaoka has gained new members and features a set design also created by him. The author will participate in a talk at the store itself on September 4th, at 4 pm.

Cama Mill

Architect Celso Rayol , from Cité Arquitetura , explains in a lecture how the Milo series was developed, created for Eliane Revestimentos. The collection is composed of porcelain tiles whose patterns rescue affective memories of Brazilian homes and has just been recognized at the international AZ Award 2024.

And the CASACOR cast’s participation in DW! Rio doesn’t stop there. Caio, Carlos Carvalho and Fernanda Marques participate in the I am Breton Brasil collection; Rafa Zampini signs an exclusive furniture line at Trançarte; architect Cadé Marino designs an intervention for Tidelli; architects Andrea Eiras, Aurora Grei, Carla Napolião, Cecilia Lelles and Marilene Galindo create environments for Artefacto; Alessandro Sartore traces the timeline of Brazilian design in the exhibition “From Drawing to Design – 1928-2025”, for the Contemporary Archive.
