Pedro Yossef 's work has always been linked to jewelry, with the creation of exclusive pieces and meticulous details in gold, silver or platinum. However, his creations gained a much larger scale at
CASACOR SP 2023 : the "
Floater" sculpture – to float in French – in the shape of a bird adorns the bedroom of the project
O Reverso do Metaverso , by Brunete Fraccaroli , just as the
Le Jardin table sets the tone for the architect's virtual space. "It's one of my first projects in the area and making decorative pieces using manual jewelry techniques is a challenge. So much so that I had to adapt the tools on the market for the job, since the ones I normally use are very small," he explains.

The invitation to participate in CASACOR SP came from
Brunete herself. "After she saw one of my works, we had a meeting where I met her in person and talked about the project. She gave me the references for the pieces and I worked based on that
briefing ," she says.
Float
The two birds were made entirely by hand in silver stainless steel. "The challenge was to create lightness for a heavy metal. Through the design lines, the thickness, and the flexible appearance of the design, I was able to create characteristics as if it were floating in the air," he explains.
The process was quick: about two months from conception to final version. And it required all the steps that the production of a piece of jewelry would go through, from the sketch drawing, through the design made with paper to understand the volume and the making of a miniature to visualize the modeling.
The final piece, cut with a laser, was almost 1.20 m in span, from end to end .
The Garden
Another piece designed by Pedro is the
Le Jardin table – but this one only exists in the Metaverse! “Whenever I create my projects, one of the processes is to transform sketches into 3D models and then generate the actual physical piece. In this case, it was different because the 3D is the final piece”, he says.
The 1m diameter table has stems and flowers on a minimalist base. Covered with a special pearlescent white paint, it is part of the virtual environment created by Brunete for the avatar AJ of the presenter Amaury Jr. Each visitor will be able to enjoy the virtual environment through
triggers created for the cell phone . “I had to think about the technical aspects and refinement in a digital way. It was very different, I had never created anything for the Metaverse. I think the effect was very close to the real thing,” he says. The jeweler has plans to make the piece of furniture in the real world as well.
In the future, the work with jewelry will continue, but
Yossef intends to expand the creative universe to other markets. “My goal is to bring this concept of jewelry, of refinement and something very exclusive to other areas of design, decoration, furniture, lighting... I see a very broad path of possibilities. I want to continue creating pieces that can be seen as jewelry, but on different scales and possibilities”, he concludes.
