Authorial design plays a fundamental role in interior design, as it offers a unique and personalized approach to transforming spaces. Each piece has a story behind its creation, conveying emotions and ideas that connect with the people who choose them. This gives a special and distinctive character to spaces, making them truly unique. Furthermore, the original pieces are designed to transcend mere functionality and become true works of art . They explore shapes, textures, colors and materials in innovative ways, challenging conventions and awakening the imagination. And this creative and unique quality can be seen in some of the environments that are part of the 36th edition of CASACOR São Paulo , which runs until August 6th, at Conjunto Nacional, on Avenida Paulista.

One example is Casa Kraftizen Cosentino , a space designed by SUITE Arquitetos , owned by partners Carolina Mauro, Daniela Frugiuele and Filipe Troncon. The project, which explores the relationship with nature and the permission to be natural while accepting the marks of time, features pieces designed by the design arm of the firm – SUITE Design . Among them, the Bio sofa stands out, which was designed to “embrace” the space. The furniture has curved shapes inspired by nature and a wrinkled texture that reinforces the concept of time and memory present throughout the project.

The Entrelaço table goes beyond an exclusive piece designed for the space. It is a reinterpretation of weaves created with discarded silk straw materials , a material provided by textile designer Nani Chinellato . The silk threads, received almost like tangled strands of hair, were rethought, reconstituted, reused, braided and arranged on wooden frames in different patterns, bringing the concept of upcycling to the piece and elevating the level of furniture to a unique, artisanal and exclusive scale . Another piece of furniture that bears the architects' signature is the Lina armchair . Considered a design icon, the piece was designed for Lider and celebrates five years since its launch.

In addition to furniture design, the trio also brought to Casa Kraftizen Cosentino the TransBordar rug collection , the result of SUITE Design's relationship with Botteh , a leading brand and reference in the handmade rug segment. The rugs and tapestries were designed based on a graphic-sculptural interpretation of the edges and dimensional limits of the object that in this series flow, leak, peel and merge into living compositions.

Originality. This is the word that defines architect and designer Guilherme Torres , who created the Percursus installation. In his portfolio of pieces with original designs that total more than fifty items, the Lee sofa stands out in the space that explores a correlation between the work of visual artist Regina Silveira and Torres. With versatility in mind, the vintage-style sectional model was redesigned in this piece of furniture, which allows for infinite configurations in its structure . Just like the Otto sofa, a tribute to Guilherme's grandfather, Lee is a tribute to his father, whose name was Olivio, and who earned the family nickname Lee.

With a minimalist and elegant concept, the Loft (IN)Terno , a space designed by architect Ticiane Lima , brings together some of the most renowned names in Brazilian design in pieces that exude beauty and sophistication. Designed by Claudia Moreira Salles , the Dominó is a double bench that can be used to divide spaces or stand alone in the space. The straight lines that refer to modernist architecture are sweetened by the Miesian roll that divides the seat and by the concavities, with small holes for water drainage, which give comfort and rhythm to the piece. The structure of the legs is made of stainless steel.

From the prestigious Geraldo de Barros , Ticiane brought a reissue of the armchair, in the Unilabor standard, with a UL19 tubular structure, which features a gentle advancement in the back to ensure comfortable seating. From Fernando Mendes , a disciple of Sérgio Rodrigues, the architect "borrowed" the Vivi Armchair , a reissue of the piece that pays homage to the businesswoman Vivi Nabuco. The round structure is the result of one of the many jokes that Sérgio Rodrigues (1927-2014) liked to make with the designs of his furniture. It is a relaxed and, above all, super comfortable armchair, which highlights Sérgio's mastery of shapes.
