In celebration of the 20th anniversary of David Trubridge 's original pendant light collection, named Coral , the designer is back at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. From
18 to
23 April, David will present a unique
coral reef installation, consisting of 20 lights arranged on the floor – one to represent each year of the collection’s existence.
Most of the lights are white to accurately symbolize the devastating reality that 20-30% of all coral reefs have bleached and ceased to exist during this period.
The first,
Toru , will be available for pre-order and attendees will have the chance to witness this innovative light in action. The second product,
Kōwhai , is a versatile indoor or outdoor light made from
powder-coated aluminum. It is a unique design that will be on display exclusively at the event and will be available for viewing on demand.
