Eight classic
Eames pieces have been given a new twist by Herman Miller in collaboration with Danish design brand HAY. The collection, called
Herman Miller x HAY , reimagines the mid-century pieces with
fresh color palettes and
updated materials .
The collection is a perfect example of what happens when
original, timeless design is combined with a contemporary point of view . With seven energizing colors, it encourages endless interaction and combination between the color palette, including shades such as Toffee, Iron Red and Powder Yellow.
Complementing the main color palette is a special-edition compact
Eames sofa , upholstered in a 1955 color and faithfully reissued by Maharam for the collaboration at the request of Mette Hay, one of the founders of HAY alongside Rolf Hay. The
Eames tables
Wire Base Low and
Universal Base Round , now with fused glass tops, bring art and artistic dimension to any space.
In anticipation of HAY’s 20th anniversary in 2022, the two design brands have teamed up to jointly create a new take on the original color palette and material creativity of Herman Miller’s Eames furniture collection to deliver a group of pieces that are distinctly from the Eames and HAY exclusives.
