Inspired by the light, energy and colours of arid landscapes at dusk, the presentation space for
Bottega Veneta ’s
Milan Fashion Week 2024 collection was designed by the brand’s creative director,
Matthieu Blazy .
Large-scale glass cacti with flowers, handcrafted on the island of Murano, symbolise strength, protection and adaptability. These sterile flowers carry a sense of hope and resilience for Blazy. At the same time, Murano glass is a recurring motif for the designer, a well-established part of his artisanal lexicon in Bottega Veneta’s collections.
A special edition of
Le Corbusier’s LC14 Cabanon bench seats guests – the furniture features a special
charred wood finish, inspired by a traditional Japanese technique. This method provides natural protection to the material while revealing the distinctive grain patterns, making each bench in the series unique.
The floor uses the same technique. A “diverse edition” of 350 stools will be included in a special Milan Design Week installation . They will be available for purchase, along with a custom
Salone del Mobile edition. The installation can be seen between April 15 and 20 during Milan Design Week.
