Launched at this year's
Milan Design Week by Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen for the
Flos brand, the "C" and "L" shaped lamp features a raw material rarely used in this segment: concrete. The pieces feature an aluminum base and a metal structure to support the accessory's dome.
"The aluminum alloy injected into the piece is used for casting the materials and has a low copper content to improve corrosion resistance," explains the architect.
In addition, the luminaire uses LED, covered by a diffuser glass that allows ideal light distribution for the space.
The luminaires can also be found in oxidized bronze, cast iron and coated aluminum and are suitable for outdoor areas.
