Vote for your favorite living room at CASACOR Minas Gerais 2023!

Until September 3, the 28th edition of CASACOR Minas Gerais presents the main trends in decoration, architecture, art and landscaping at Casa Ferolla – a development in the Santo Antônio neighborhood, one of the oldest in Belo Horizonte, known for its tree-lined streets and cultural effervescence, bringing together a series of bars, restaurants, establishments and characters that are part of the city's history. Among the 39 spaces in this edition – designed by 53 established professionals in the segment –, nine living rooms, lobbies and lounges stand out . They are proof that living has become more diverse – and that areas for living, entertaining and relaxing have migrated from the living room to reach other areas of the house. Gislene Lopes - Casa Ferolla Apartment. The project features contemporary, clean lines, with organic shapes inspired by everyday details. Its light color palette creates a sense of calm, while smooth and textured coverings add visual interest. The large living room connects to the kitchen and gourmet balcony, with support rooms. The furniture follows elegant, organic lines. Suite 01 mixes spontaneity and charm, while the office combines seriousness with comfort and modernity. The master suite evokes softness and romance, offering a relaxing refuge after a busy day.

Laura Carvalho - Ivy once. Memories and celebrations. A fantasy atmosphere permeates the environment. From the sketches inspired by the photo album, to the subtlety of the fragments that are completed in the Campana Brothers' mirror, to the curved space, conducive to good conversation, with a purple wall and windows painted green. A recamier that dresses with joy, a bookshelf that plays with contemporary times. Here’s to fun and good inspiration.

Life projects (José Lourenço and Marina Figueiredo) - Lobby Essência. Comprising the ticket office, lobby and the Audi space, the environment is an ode to architecture. The main proposal is to exalt the beauty of materials in their rawest form. With no space for the synthetic and the artificial, the project explores the authenticity, organicity and rawness of materials as they are. Following the essentialist line, all choices made for the project aim to maximize waste reduction at the end of the work, a bias that brings to the fore reflection on sustainability. One of these choices, which defines the fluidity and lightness of the space, are the eco-fabrics that hang from the ceiling, contrasting with the hardness of the concrete. The color palette highlights neutral choices.

Luciana Garcia - ÓCIO & OFFÍCIO. The name already gives clues about the space, which can function as a home office, but it is not characterized only by that profile. The concept came from the idea of finding a corner of the house where it would be possible to think, reflect and, of course, work. Inside, it is enveloped in wood, with tiled floors and a raw cement ceiling, and the outside was designed for moments of rest.

Manuela Senna - Balcony “Sementes Casa Ferolla”. A balcony for relaxed meetings around the table, with the art of cooking at the center of the proposal. The choice of colors, the luminosity of the space and the materials that cover it create an atmosphere of well-being that, upon arrival, you lose the desire to leave. The furniture is designed by Jader Almeida and Bruno de Carvalho, works of art and poem by Claudia Schroeder and Heloísa Crocco and landscaping by Flávia D'Urso.

NB Projetos - Voktum Home Office. For this edition, Juliana Boechat and Patrícia Nicácio, from NB Projetos, developed a home office with refined, welcoming and timeless choices. A Pau-Ferro MDF panel surprises with its screen-like appearance, giving the impression that it is loose from the wall. The space was outlined with the slatted technique in the four corners, as if the panel were unfolding throughout the space in the form of waves. The furniture selection was thought out to add aesthetics and comfort at the same time.

Pedro Lázaro Arquitetura - Fireplace Room and Balcony. The project guidelines were to maintain and restore all the original elements that make up the architecture of the iconic mansion and, at the same time, create an engaging and contemporary atmosphere. It reveals itself in a multifunctional, organic and flexible space, dedicated to good living, where body and home are surrounded by intimacy, memories and the representation of the personality of a potential user.

Renata Machado and André Magalhães Arquitetura e Design - Living room and bathroom of the apartment. The idea of an urban refuge in contrast to the frenzy of everyday life is mainly translated in the striking presence of organic shapes and the choice of a palette of soft colors that convey fluidity and serenity. An interactive environment that uses technology in favor of practicality. Part of the cladding is in travertine, worked in both smooth and grooved stone, present in the bathroom, with the same organic concept, in the wine cellar and in the bar.

Studio44 - Art Gallery and Balcony. Divided into two distinct but complementary spaces, the contemporary building features a modern and functional style, housing a versatile and timeless gallery that will host exhibitions throughout the show. On the other hand, the historic building, listed as a heritage site, preserves the original architectural features, featuring a covered balcony with a conversation area, connected to an outdoor area with a bench and a jabuticaba tree, integrated by a long metal pergola.
