The
2024 edition of CASACOR Peru presented a space that is not just a
décor for visitors, but a narrative about contemporary urban life. Designed by Peruvian architect
Víctor Gamarra ,
Loft del Peatón is inspired by the pedestrian in all of us – those who walk the streets with curiosity and creativity.

At the head of the office, known as
Peatonal , the architect seeks to evoke, through this space, the role of
urban explorers who accept the challenge of discovering the cities we inhabit, along with their physical and social transformations. "We all ask ourselves who the pedestrian (
peatón ) is. We are all pedestrians and that is what we should be: curious, active and creative. This space represents the ability to adapt to changes, understand the environment,
live in the present and value it. A mix of sensations such as freedom, calm and, above all, confidence is reflected through vibrant colors, transparencies and plant elements", explains the professional.

Every aspect of this project has been meticulously designed to inspire. Above the main living area, a strategically placed suspended bed makes the most of the available space. The curved shapes and sharp angles of the space reflect the dynamism of a pedestrian navigating the different streets, alleys and lanes of a city. In addition to the bold and innovative physical space, Loft del Peatón is a conceptual environment that invites people to walk again and rediscover the city with new eyes, appreciating each step and discovery.
