Versatile and elegant, rugs beautify the spaces at CASACOR Brasília
At the 27th edition of CASACOR Brasília , the goal was to transform the former headquarters of Casa da Manchete into a set of beautiful and unique spaces that reflected the integration and energy of the 2018 theme,A Casa Viva . One resource that professionals made great use of were rugs. Versatile and elegant, they added color, texture, graphics and, above all, warmth to the floors of the show. In the Concrete Annex , designed by professionals Flávia Nasr and Laísa Carpaneda, the light-colored carpet is a counterpoint to the hardness of the reinforced concrete structure. Its lightness and rustic lines match the foliage and wood present in the project. Similarly, in the living room of professionals Clarissa Braga and Manuella Leite, from Esquina Arquitetura, the rug in sober tones also contrasts with the rest of the color palette. There, it marks the division to the dining room and makes it much more inviting. The shades of blue were a highlight in the rugs. In the Leroy Design space, owned by professionals Hélio Albuquerque and Sonia Peres, the vibrant turquoise tone of the rug matches the armchairs and the colors of the oil on canvas by Burle Marx, which stands out on the wall. It also houses the iconic Rio chaise lounge chair, by Oscar Niemeyer. Elder Galvão, in his Florist's Balcony space, chose Tiffany blue as the main color. Thus, the selected rugs draw circles on the floor to accommodate the armchairs and coffee tables. Their curves follow the curves of Rui Ohtake's swings. Graphics were also a widely used resource. In Gui Rodrigues' Lounge Resort , for example, the carpet is part of the mix of materials that make up the project. Plants and objects are inserted into the bookshelf that divides spaces, punctuated by modern furniture and LED lamps. The millennial pink armchairs break the formality.
