When fashion designer Isabela Capeto needed to record a video at home for SPFW, she asked her aunt, landscaper Anna Luiza Rothier , for help to make her apartment "greener" and create a more impactful setting for the production.

“Isabela already had a lot of plants at home, but it wasn’t anything exaggerated as it ended up being on purpose, since my intervention was for scenographic purposes,” explains Anna Luiza. “But she liked the result so much that, after the recording, she called me every day. excitedly saying that she wanted to keep that urban jungle atmosphere inside the house”, she adds.

The landscaper then returned to the 232 m² property with a truckload of plants that survive well in the shade, which were distributed throughout the rooms, incorporating themselves into the existing décor designed by the Ouriço Arquitetura office. The species that need more light natural were concentrated on the balconies of the living room and bedroom.

The covered balcony in the living room has asparagus , syngonium , ficus , leea and peace lily distributed across the top of every large window, which overlooks Sugarloaf Mountain.
The apartment's library, filled with art, fashion and literature books, now has syngoniums and philodendrons positioned on the top shelf to form a green cascade that tends to grow over time.

The kitchen, open to the living room, has ferns , dracaenas , syngoniums and snake plants , which line the tops of the cabinets.

“The bathroom didn’t even need plants because the walls covered in fabric with a print of Adam’s rib leaves already resemble an urban jungle. Even so, I couldn’t resist and sprinkled some dracaenas in bamboo pots,” jokes the landscaper.
