Michel Safatle debuts and celebrates at CASA COR São Paulo 2016 with his incredible Music Room , a 30 m² space that makes visitors reflect on how music influences our way of life and people's routines.
“Nowadays, I see a close relationship between mobility and sociability. They are in all our portable devices and are the first entertainment option we turn to, in moments of comfort and relaxation, when we are alone or with friends. Based on this, I imagined an intimate environment, in the form of a lounge, that encourages people to stay and socialize, using musical unity as a fundamental decorative element in the construction of a sensory experience”, explains the professional.
Safatle was inspired by music, theater and fashion. "I envisioned a night scene, rock'n'roll, a chic atmosphere in an elegant, young and modern version, with an updated retro feel."
The architect promotes a mix of art and period furniture, much of which is from his personal collection, used in his office.
In addition to all the pieces, which contrast with each other and set the mood of the space, Michel invested in the lighting project. He used stage lighting and theater spotlights that draw an analogy to the world of great shows, a concept explored to the fullest, due to the striking photograph that occupies the main wall of the space. It is an image recorded backstage at a theater, transforming the audience into the most important object in the scene.
