Barbara Salles observes the world to suggest the best solutions for each client. "I travel a lot and I'm always observing, from a simple village to a complex work. I appreciate works of art and I can find my palettes in them. I really admire Mies van der Rohe for its clean architecture and contact with nature, for example", she says. It is this background that the architect takes to her first project at CASACOR São Paulo this year and in this kitchen, created for a family that lives in Uberaba, Minas Gerais.

The residents love to entertain friends and cook for them on the weekends, so the barbecue area needed to be redesigned. The kitchen suited their lifestyle and was placed inside a kiosk where the decor was already following suit. blue and white. "I wanted to continue this style, so I chose navy blue for the lacquer and light wood and countertops to give the space a light feel. In general, my palette is very light with a few pops of color," he explains. .
In addition to the colors, shapes and practicality, another great advantage of this kitchen is its integration with the garden. Barbara created a project that took advantage of all the free space, which was immense and was not being fully utilized. In this way, the pool, barbecue and kitchen were all combined. integrated and become a setting for lots of relaxation and fun for the family on weekends.

Regarding the interior design style, the architect sought inspiration from classic styles for the carpentry, but mixed in some contemporary elements. This balance was achieved with the shade of blue, which is the focal point of the space, and the straight-lined furniture. The set was harmonious and matched perfectly with the large openings in the space, the ribbon window and the symmetrical stones. With the garden present on all sides, the feeling is that you are cooking outdoors. Is there anything better?
