1. Brazilianness

Nando Nunes - Gray House Cerrado
01/04 -

Nando Nunes - Casa Cinza Cerrado. The rebirth of the cerrado after each new period of burning served as inspiration for this space. Apparently an enemy, the natural action of fire preserves the diversity of the biome and makes it sprout again. In other words, friendly fire, very different from criminal fires, is part of a cycle. And that is what this 114 m² loft represents: a space where the resident can be reborn and enjoy free time, connecting with themselves, with others and with the things that do them good.

The idea behind this space is to show that nature and good times with loved ones go hand in hand - in fact, the professionals behind the project are mother and daughter, and they gathered objects that bring back family memories to decorate the space. With 130 m², the area invites contemplation and rest and features plants, a beautiful sofa and a comfortable rug. The refuge houses handicrafts full of Brazilian flair, art pieces and a panel created by the artist Job Bento.

Genésio Maranhão - Art Gallery. In 100 m², the professional pays homage to artists from Goiás, both established and new, who did not have the opportunity to exhibit their work during the pandemic. The exhibition provides space for contemporary art from Goiás and brings artists closer to the public. The contemporary environment is entirely designed so that the highlight is the artists' creations, from the lighting to the color used on the wall. All works are for sale and the buyer receives them the next day.

Anna Helisa Porto, Diego Mendonça and Isabella Gondim - Ice Cream Shop. An establishment that innovates in the way it presents its product, eliminates the barrier between the consumer and the dessert and makes the customer feel at home: this is the proposal of the architects who are new to the show. Inspired by Brazilian homes, the professionals opted for a more humanized and less formal service. With the change in the concept of “living/occupying” from last year, the trio seeks to return to the roots of the project.

There are many touches of Brazilianness that permeate CASACOR Goiás in 2021 – and it is no exaggeration to say that the vast majority of environments have a touch of the best that national culture has to offer. Design pieces, works of art and even the city itself The Brazilian home , its way of living and its essential items for living, are represented by the environments of the Goiás exhibition.

2. Grandma's little house

Fabíola Naoum and Wilker Godoi - Casa da Mata.
01/04 -

Fabíola Naoum and Wilker Godoi - Casa da Mata. Following the concept of a modern, sophisticated country house with conscious consumption, the project was born from the recovery and appreciation of rural origins. The environment features furniture and objects of national design in accordance with the handmade trend and uses natural elements, such as stone, wood and concrete. Aimed at those interested in having a second home, used for leisure and rest, the space invites visitors to review their consumption habits and dedicate time to themselves.

Eduardo Medeiros and Gabriel Bela Cruz - Deca Raízes Kitchen. To rescue memories and bring back roots that were lost with modernity, this kitchen pays homage and also reinvents farmhouse kitchens, which were, and still are, the heart of the Goiás home. In search of this bucolic atmosphere, the duo values materials such as burnt and red-dyed cement, thick plasterwork and a wood-burning stove. The vertical garden references the nature of farms and is complemented by Brazilian furniture.

Rubiana Teixeira - Kitchen 21. In this project, the professional combines a kitchen that follows current architectural trends with a traditional kitchen, seeking to recall the past through details. The hexagonal coverings in shades of blue reference the hydraulic tiles that were widely used in the past. The mint tone of the carpentry and the wood form a balanced composition that warms and brings comfort to the space. The curved iron furniture, the leather stools and the handcrafted pieces in the decoration make up the essence of Kitchen 21.

Mariana Mendonça and Shoraya Canedo - House of Roots
04/04 -

Mariana Mendonça and Shoraya Canedo - Casa de Raiz. The 120 m² project proposes a recovery of memories of moments lived in family homes during childhood. The stone floor reminds us of old homes and the painted walls that look worn over time remind us of the timelessness of a mother's house. In the landscaping, the plants are reminiscent of grandma's backyard and include jabuticabeira and banana trees representing the orchard and aromatic herbs, spices and peppers, which allude to the family gathered at Sunday lunches.

(Edgard César)
In the same vein, the architects and decorators in the cast searched for memories of the first years of their lives in the original residence , inspired by the theme of this year's CASACOR exhibitions, "The Original House". That's why many of the rooms have a " grandma's house", that is, they are full of vintage pieces , from antique shops, or even from the professionals' own personal collection .

3. Rocks everywhere

Bibiana and Giordano Rogoski - Around the table. Marking the first time that the Rogoski brothers have worked together at a CASACOR, the 65 m² space is inspired by the professionals' family memories and houses a dining room - the environment evokes fond memories of times when they shared meals with family or friends. The decorative objects and ornaments were handcrafted, mainly in ceramics, conveying the history and ancestral knowledge that only these original materials can convey.

William Hanna - Casa Oggi. The design of this space is based on the idea that excessive glamour should be replaced by a more homely identity, made for real people. Therefore, this house was made to be cozy, a place where people feel good, live and belong. The designer furniture, works of art and ornaments used in this space provide this user-space engagement and convey the feeling of well-being and comfort, so important in an era when we spend most of our time indoors.

03/04 -

Paola Vasconcelos Albernaz and Lorrane Vasconcelos Albernaz - Lavabo Orgânico. Designed to remind us of a historical past, this 14 m² space has no ends or straight lines. Inspired by rock architecture, the arch refers to the interior of a cave and the illuminated screen represents the exit. The poorly finished walls and the composition of patchwork stones on the floor help to create the feeling of being inside a cave and the sophistication of the space is delivered by the floor lamp signed by designer Jader Almeida.

04/04 -

Lissa Azevedo and Elisa Veloso - Bath Break. Inspired by the simplicity and lightness of nature, this project is a place where couples can slow down and live in the present. Free from excess, the space brings balance to the mix of soft color palettes with earthy tones. In this recovery of one's own essence amidst the chaos of routine, natural elements serve as a point of balance: wood, stones, rope, pampas grass and wheat are integrated into the space in a bucolic and welcoming composition.

(Edgard César)
It’s undeniable: stone is the favorite covering in this edition of CASACOR Goiás. Appearing on the walls and floors of various environments, stone lends timelessness to spaces . And its versatility does not go unnoticed – the different tones and textures contribute to creating minimalist, rustic languages. and even dramatic.

4. Lots of green

The urban jungle is a trend that has been on the rise at CASACOR shows for a few years now, and this time was no different. The demand for ever-increasing contact with nature is also represented by the large number of environments with indoor gardens . Compositions with (many) vases are emerging as favorites, giving more freshness and color to living and dining rooms.

5. Wide spaces

Meire Santos - Living Arte. The 116 m² project is special for the professional: the space pays homage to 15 of her clients from 2020, who represent all the clients the designer has had in her career, reinforcing the value of unity among friends. Each of the honorees received a work that depicts a photo - between canvases, prints or pieces of art, each item refers to the stories that happen inside a home and tells the story of Meire and each person who has passed through her life.

Designed for those who enjoy living well, with elegance and comfort, the space does not follow trends and stands out for its natural materials such as stone and wood. Neutral tones mix with wood, stone, and potted plants.

Anna Paula Melo - Ventura Casa Serena. Measuring 175 m², this home is a refuge from the chaos of the city: the light colors, the natural texture of the walls and the rusticity of the stone, combined with the presence of greenery in the vases in the space, create a welcoming and calming environment. The careful use of light creates and demarcates distinct spaces in the home, highlighting favorite pieces of furniture and art. A final contemporary touch is provided by the organic design of the cabinets.

04/04 -

Ana Maria Miller and Tainá Tôrres - The Sun and Lounge The Sun. This 421 m² house is a place of affection and memories, of meetings. Therefore, its concept favors greater interaction between residents, where the absence of television sets stands out and makes the protagonist the large room made up of several sofas and armchairs arranged in a circle to promote chat. The idea comes as professionals believe in “eye to eye”, sitting at the table, and the real exchange of experiences between people.

(Edgard César)
The large exhibition area of CASACOR Goiás 2021 allowed its environments to follow a similar pattern. For this reason, many of them are 100 m² or more – a characteristic that truly defines this edition. The choice of the cast was to leave these environments integrated , increasing the feeling in scope and valuing the best that these large areas have to offer.
