Earthy tones in decor are here to stay! This palette that mixes orange, red and gray tones to create calm environments is the choice of many architects and designers. Whether as a main palette or an accessory to highlight the environment, earthy colors are a good bet to bring a more modern and calm air to the space. This was already a trend that was gaining ground in interiors, but with the arrival of the pandemic it intensified. The search for cozy environments is one of the most common topics during social isolation – and earthy tones in decoration have the power to make the environment more welcoming and intimate. To inspire you, we selected 8 environments from the CASACOR cast that used earthy tones in their decoration. Check it out!
Living Coral, by Ana Cristina Cunha – CASACOR Pernambuco 2019
(Denilson Machado / CASACOR)
The mix of different earthy tones made Living Coral, designed by Ana Cristina Cunha , even more surprising. The choice of Coral paints, CASACOR's official paint, was essential to ensure that the mix of colors and textures was created in a harmonious way. While the dining room chairs and table have more sober tones, the space has pillars in earthy tones that make it more interesting. The project was exhibited at CASACOR Pernambuco 2019.
Elã Studio. Toca Architecture - CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2019
(André Nazareth / CASACOR)
Orange tones brought life to this kitchen designed by Toca Arquitetura . The architects wanted to bring nature and balance into the space, and opting for an earthy tone palette helped to convey a more natural feel, as if it were a "country house" inside CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2019.
Beyond the Kitchen. Jean de Just - CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2019
(André Nazareth / CASACOR)
Carpentry can be a great ally for introducing earthy tones into your decor. Jean de Just chose to create a kitchen that is integrated with the dining room, where the wood stands out in orange tones. The contrast of the colors with the plants and the central stone island brought a tropical aspect to the space that was exhibited at CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2019 .
Cacau Ribeiro wanted to bring a more casual and cheerful look to a cosmopolitan apartment located in the Jardins neighborhood of São Paulo. Here we can see that the earthy tones did not take center stage, but they are present to bring a more vibrant look to the neutral base, as in the central rug in the living room.
Hygge Studio. Melina Romano - CASACOR Sao Paulo 2019
(Denilson Machado / CASACOR)
The Hygge Studio, designed by Melina Romano for CASACOR São Paulo 2019, inspires tranquility. This is because the space featured a predominance of earthy tones in harmony with sophisticated fabrics. The exposed brick wall stands out, bringing a rustic feel to the space.
Palm Springs Balcony. Jean de Just - CASACOR São Paulo 2019
(Renato Navarro / CASACOR)
Once again, Jean de Just has shown that earthy tones can bring life and joy to a space. In this case, the expert decided to use these colors for the balcony. The project exhibited at CASACOR São Paulo 2019 drew attention for its balanced and fun mix of colors and textures.

Children's Suite. Messa Penna - CASACOR São Paulo 2019
(Evelyn Muller / CASACOR)
If you're still unsure about how to combine earthy tones with other colors, the Children's Suite by Messa Penna is a great place to draw inspiration. The blue tones match perfectly with the terracotta straw details on the bed. The steps of the staircase are also interspersed with a charming detail between the colors.
