CASACOR Espírito Santo 2019. Cosmopolitan Escape - Italla Monti and Solana Marianelli. The cosmopolitan tone comes from the mix of diverse materials such as wood, burnt cement, metallic finishes and a stone wall. The latter serves as a backdrop for works of art by Antonio Bokel, Yuri Seródio and Rosana Paste.

CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2019. CasaVinteCinco LG - Juarez Cruz. The essence of the space is in the straight lines and duality of colors. The black of the walls comes from the Kouros stone, which dialogues with the black wood of the floor. In the furniture, the highlights are the Kazz armchair, by Luan Del Salvio, and the Choice sofa, by Studio Ha.Fatto.

CASACOR São Paulo 2019. Casa do Fauno - Leo Shehtman. The house was inspired by and pays homage to the Barberini Fauno, a figure from Roman mythology (an appropriation of the Satyr in the Greek version). The highlight is the large 18 m wall, which accompanies the water mirror, covered in exotic Pearlescent Marble.

CASACOR São Paulo 2019. Casa Grão by Starbucks at Home - Très Arquitetura. The architects' goal was to create a residence inspired by the grain, not only of coffee but also by the idea of germination and life. They created the space in the shape of a glass box with a living room, dining room, a small kitchen, terrace and a master suite. A stone wall contrasts with the transparency of the glass and adds texture to the space.

The minimalist ambiance is achieved by the pure and straight shapes of the concrete and stone walls. On the other hand, pieces of furniture such as the Peacock armchair in blue, designed by Dror Benshetrit for Cappellini, break the sober color palette and stand out.

CASACOR Santa Catarina 2019. Antropo-Living - Carolina Zettermann de Almeida and Daniel Medeiros Ghizi. The idea behind this space is to eliminate distinctions between interior and exterior. To achieve this, the professionals mix materials, shapes and textures: straight and curved lines, vibrant colors and neutral tones. On the wall, a composition of small grouped stones creates an intriguing and aesthetic textured effect.

CASACOR Brasília 2019. Loft Essência - Helaine Caloête. With 120m², the space is entirely focused on integration with the garden. On the longest wall, Lucerna stone, brought from Rio de Janeiro, prolongs contact with nature, with the texture accentuated by the lighting. The other surfaces have other stone finishes, and the ceiling is covered in wood.

“It’s wood, it’s stone, it’s the end of the road,” as Tom Jobim’s song goes. Stone is one of the most primitive and elementary elements of construction and architecture. The great monuments of antiquity that have survived to this day are made of stone, such as the Egyptian and pre-Columbian pyramids or Greek temples. There is an ancestral sense of solidity and permanence when incorporating these materials into decoration. Whether in the form of walls, coverings or even as artistic pieces, the use of stone in decoration always enriches spaces.

You can find examples of natural stone in various environments at CASACOR , not just in bathrooms or outdoor areas. Check out how they applied stones in their projects below!
