In addition to being enchanted by the innovative ideas proposed by architects and interior designers at the
CASACOR 2025 exhibitions, visitors will be surprised when they look up. This is because many professionals have taken care to enhance the
ceiling of the projects, creating solutions that communicate with the rest of the design. Keeping an eye on this trend, we selected ideas with different
materials and
styles, which you can check out below.
Movement of Waters
Daniela Andrade - Café com Tempo. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. (Camila Santos/CASACOR)
The ceiling made of mirrored silver acetate sheets evokes the movement of water in the architect Daniela Andrade's project at CASACOR São Paulo. The artistic installation "Under the Skin of Water", designed by Ivan Coelho, occupies the entire ceiling and creates the hypnotizing illusion of being submerged beneath the surface of a calm lake or sea. Through translucent materials, diffused lighting, and subtle movements (such as light projections that simulate the reflection of water), the ceiling transforms into a living, undulating liquid skin that hovers above the observers. The artwork inverts the usual logic — suspending the water aloft — and invites the visitor to reflect on the unconscious, emotions, and memory as symbolic forces hovering over us. When looking up, the viewer feels small, vulnerable, but also deeply connected to the whole. Natural Atmosphere
Tetriz Arquitetura - Casa das Águas. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. (Camila Santos/CASACOR)
Designed by
Tetriz Arquitetura, this
bathroom exudes fluidity and tranquility, inspired by the movement of waters and the wild world. It features a double-height ceiling and pillars that resemble trunks whose crowns flow into the ceiling, all illuminated by a tensioned screen. The side garden, bordered by a curved sofa, brings even more freshness to the project.
Lights and Patterns
Studio Otto Felix - bar, speakeasy. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. (MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)
Designed by architect Otto Felix, the speakeasy of CASACOR São Paulo features wood with a reddish background on the walls and ceiling details, with lighting design aimed at enhancing the low ceiling and creating a cozy atmosphere, informal lounges, and an imposing bar, in addition to a DJ booth. The project does not limit itself to retrieving a style and blends references: the aesthetics of the Belle Époque and European Art Nouveau style, with ornamented volumes and gold metals, find echoes in the wallpaper, reinforcing the idea of a place out of time. Carioca References
Gabriel Fernandes - Casa de Novela. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. (Denilson Machado/CASACOR)
Inspired by Brazilian soap operas, the project by architect
Gabriel Fernandes at CASACOR São Paulo also references the Museum of Modern Art in Rio — an icon of Carioca architecture. The building's design was reinterpreted in the ceiling: beams with concave and convex shapes, covered with American oak laminate, bring the dialogue with the volumetry of the museum's slab to the interior of the project.
Protagonist Ceiling
Ale Mellos Arquitetura de Interiores - Gazebo da Botânica. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. (Roberta Gewehr/CASACOR)
The space created by
Ale Mellos at CASACOR São Paulo surprises with its ceiling height of almost five meters. The professional created a ceiling with lateral slopes to soften the height and create a sense of shelter. Thus, upon entering, the visitor feels welcomed, as if they were in a
cabin. Inspired by a botanist's passion, this gazebo proposes the retrieval of the serenity that only the relationship with the earth and plants can provide.
Monumental Combination
André Bastos e Pedro Luiz de Marqui - Arcadia Banco BRB. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. (Israel Gollino/CASACOR)
With 140 m², the bar designed by
André Bastos and
Pedro Luiz De Marqui offers two surprises in the ceiling: when looking up, visitors contemplate the exclusive vintage Baccarat chandelier and the
Versace wallpaper, which contemporarily adds references to palace medallions. The cladding also dictates the color palette in shades of blue for the space.
Colors Above
OHMA - Escalada Brasileira. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. (Maura Mello/CASACOR)
The colors envelop and are protagonists in the project by OHMA, architects Nicholas Oher and Paloma Bresolin. The duo did not follow trends and sought to evoke deep sensations in visitors, such as warmth, passion, and contemplation. In this floor, the palette of intense tones appears on the walls and ceiling, creating a unique chromatic experience. Each shade provokes a specific emotional state, as if the staircase became a pulsating body that communicates through color. Cozy Visual
Aclaene de Mello Arquitetura - Sala de Estar e Jantar. Projeto da CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2025. (Cristiano Bauce/CASACOR)
The use of wood draws attention in the space designed by Aclaene de Mello at CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul, covering the wall and extending to the ceiling. Inspired by modern architecture and the well-known concept of less is more, the project proposes a conscious space where every material choice reflects respect for ecological balance. Striking Details
Karolinna Venturi - Banheiro Intimidade da Forma. Projeto da CASACOR Paraná 2025. (Eduardo Macarios/CASACOR)
Circles on the floor, wall, and ceiling compose the bathroom designed by Karolinna Venturi at CASACOR Paraná. Inspired by the Renaissance, the project has a sanctum vibe. Each subtle stroke evokes a serene eroticism, where the nude insinuates itself as a delicate whisper of freedom and beauty. Place of Introspection
Sorê Arquitetura e Interiores - Origem. Projeto da CASACOR Goiás 2025. (Edgard César/CASACOR)
Signed by architects Gustavo Watanabe and Aline Aratake, from
Sorê Architecture and Interiors, this project at CASACOR Goiás is a silent shelter, inspired by caves, evoking protection, intimacy, and connection with the essential. Nature comes integrated into the architecture, bringing lightness and tranquility.
