It makes up approximately 70% of the surface of our planet, which ironically is called Earth. Water, this fundamental resource, is not as abundant as the numbers might suggest. Therefore, in light of the theme of CASACOR 2018 ,The Living House , Tenório created the Deca Cistern for the São Paulo exhibition . This is a space for contemplating and valuing water, with the aim of promoting its rational use.
The cistern at the Jockey Club of São Paulo has a volume of 70 thousand liters and occupies the corridor that connects the grandstand building to one of the entrances. With 560 m² of internal area and 280 m² of external space, the environment has its own route, where visitors can see the brand's products applied to decoration in unusual ways.
Water runs down the rough granite in the entrance hall and reaches the water mirror. It is an allusion to rain and the water cycle. In this space, chairs, sofas and some lamps designed by Tenório himself make up the furniture for observing the running water. .
From there, you continue to metal ramps that surround the outside of the cistern, offering a wide and privileged view of the exhibition and all the facilities. The end of the path is formed by the meeting of the ramp with the bathroom, designed for a couple. and inspired by nature. The landscaping of the external areas is by Thalita Vitachi.
