Among the details that draw attention in the projects created for
CASACOR 's exhibitions in Brazil, the
coverings stand out. This market, in fact, has been developing more and more, offering a huge variety of models, colors and styles of materials for
floors and walls. With so many options, architects and interior designers bet on unique compositions to create environments that are out of the ordinary and have a lot of personality. That's why we selected
5 covering trends presented by the CASACOR cast. Check them out!
1. Patterned tiles
Prints are all the rage in
CASACOR 2024 projects, especially in ceramic coverings.
Geometric and
ethnic figures are the most used in soft and contrasting combinations. The result is a look with a
retro and charming atmosphere, reminiscent of decorations from other times, but without looking old or dated.
Cacau Ribeiro Interiores - Nosso Próprio Tempo. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2024. (MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)
In the space created by interior designer
Cacau Ribeiro for
CASACOR São Paulo , a patterned covering with designs in shades of beige covered the side wall and created an interesting play of shapes with the
checkered pattern of the sofa. The result is a space with a welcoming and
colorful atmosphere.
Created by architect Walter Schimmelpfeng , this compact studio in CASACOR Bahia displays details that echo the legacy of the past, intertwined with a look to the future. The
earthy tones with touches of blue and stainless steel, as well as textures, highlight the affective heritage of Northeastern craftsmanship. The hydraulic tile flooring follows the same palette.
NJ+ | Nildo José - Casa LG. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2024. (MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)
Architect
Nildo José opted for a light palette of neutrals and pinks to bring his project to life at
CASACOR São Paulo . Among the rooms in the complete house, created by the professional, the
bathroom stands out, with a charming floor with a white and pink pattern.
Designed by
Gabi Pileggi and
Luciana Bacheschi at
CASACOR São Paulo , this space was inspired by the European patios brought to Brazil by colonizers. That's why patterned tiles were a must. Note that the tiles feature designs in the same tone as the smooth coverings, creating visual harmony in the project.
Adriana Farias designed a bathroom at
CASACOR São Paulo that aims to create the sensation of being in the
forest . The
hydraulic tiles with indigenous
graphics stand out, forming a large panel on the wall that expresses thoughts, experiences and life experiences. The curved ceiling in shades of brown, green and blue symbolizes the treetops, the walls in the pattern of jatobá wood refer to the trunks, and the quartzite in the sink reproduces the colors of the Victoria Regia.
2. Rustic textures
Rustic textures — in the style of
a contemporary cave — are also a
hit at CASACOR 2024. This look can be seen on walls covered in
mortar applied with a trowel, coverings in the form of ceramic
blocks , with robust finishes, and even in natural
wood .
Sumar Arquitetura & Design - Rumah DECA. Projeto da CASACOR Santa Catarina | Florianópolis 2024. (Lio Simas/CASACOR)
The space designed by Sumar Arquitetura & Design at CASACOR Santa Catarina | Florianópolis was designed to provide a sense of harmony and balance through organic materials such as wood, stone, plants and water. The irregularly shaped walls were given a white mortar with a rustic touch, creating an even more natural look. Studio Guilherme Garcia - Casa Perene. Projeto da CASACOR Santa Catarina | Florianópolis 2024. (Lio Simas/CASACOR)
With the idea of creating a contemporary cave full of comfort,
Studio Guilherme Garcia designed a space with a light, neutral palette and natural textures
at CASACOR Santa Catarina | Florianópolis s . Behind the house, the wall stands out — which also acts as a partition — composed of interlocking ceramic elements. Studio Kaza Arquitetura - Morada Oasis. Projeto da CASACOR Santa Catarina | Itapema 2024. (Fábio Jr. Severo/CASACOR)
Studio Kaza Arquitetura created a loft that is a true oasis in
CASACOR Santa Catarina | Itapema . With the aim of integrating nature into the urban environment, the professionals opted for natural wood furniture, neutral colors and a white
textured covering behind the bed.
Natan Gil Arquitetura - Casa do Silêncio Peugeot. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2024. (Carolina Mossin/CASACOR)
Architect
Natan Gil created a space to encourage silence at
CASACOR São Paulo . By combining the neutral tone palette with the minimalist design of the furniture, the intention of promoting a multisensory experience becomes clearer. The walls with rustic finishes reinforce this idea.
3. Natural stones
Following the
biophilic design trend, the use of stones has become even more frequent in CASACOR stores throughout Brazil. This is because the material is reminiscent of nature and is also versatile and timeless. Therefore, professionals have spared no creativity when it comes to using marble, granite and other types of
natural stones in their projects.
Designed by
Bruno Ortega at
CASACOR Ribeirão Preto , this bathroom brings the warmth of a rain shower as an experience. According to the professional, the integration of
natural elements in architecture is essential to offer refuge in the midst of modern life. This feeling also emerges in the use of stone, which brings rusticity.
In the cabin designed by architect
Camila Maia at
CASACOR Bahia , the solidity of the
rough stones meets the fluidity of the organically designed furniture. The space is a tribute to the women of Chapada Diamantina, whose images capturing moments of courage while breaking rocks with their own hands adorn its walls.
Thayane Santana Arquitetura & Interiores - Neo Femme. Projeto da CASACOR Santa Catarina | Itapema 2024. (Lio Simas/CASACOR)
The stone-clad
bathroom is part of a studio designed by
Thayane Santana at
CASACOR Santa Catarina | Itapema , which emerged from the analysis of market trends and consumer behavior. Elegant curves connect with the custom-made furniture and meet the walls and ceiling, which stand out due to the flexible LED lighting profiles.
Michael Zanghelini designed a 380 m² house at
CASACOR Santa Catarina | Florianópolis where architecture and nature merge in a subtle and monochromatic way. The bathroom follows this proposal and features walls covered in stone — the same material that gives shape to the countertop — with reddish tones, which are repeated in the wall paint.
4. Dark wood
Another coating highlighted as a trend by the professionals in the CASACOR 2024 cast is
dark wood . In many environments, wooden veneers in sober tones were responsible for creating an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, while at the same time evoking a sophisticated aesthetic.
Leo Shehtman Arquitetura e Design - Dell Anno Global Living. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2024. (MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)
Created by architect
Leo Shehtman at
CASACOR São Paulo , this
loft has a New York feel, with a fine mix of design and artwork that coexists with the casualness of
industrial finishes. Dark wood makes up the sober palette, which also features black bricks and rough stones.
One of the highlights of architect Rafael Ramos ’ project for CASACOR Rio de Janeiro is, without a doubt, the dark wood-finished carpentry, which is in perfect keeping with the current trend. “We used the same pattern throughout the loft to create an aesthetic unity and reinforce the idea of integrating spaces, mixing smooth and slatted surfaces in the panels, partitions and cabinets. To avoid making the space look heavier, we compensated with lighter, calmer tones on the walls, floors and ceiling,” he explains. Studio Ro+Ca - Loft Celmar - 2064. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2024. (MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)
Dark wood surrounds the space created by
Studio Ro+Ca at
CASACOR São Paulo . The professionals' idea was to combine
ancestry and
technology , leaving a memory for the future. The contrast between rustic materials and others with sophisticated textures is highlighted in the kitchen countertop, which combines stainless steel and raw stone in an unconventional way.
Paola Ribeiro - Living Casashopping. Projeto da CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2024. (MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)
Paola Ribeiro designed a contemporary and elegant living room at
CASACOR Rio de Janeiro , perfect for welcoming guests in a cozy atmosphere. The walls covered in dark wood panels reinforce the intimate atmosphere that the interior designer wanted to create. Note that the guest bathroom has an unusual idea: it also houses a library.
5. Metal
With an eye on the
future , some professionals followed a strong trend presented at Milan Design Week 2024:
stainless steel . Many professionals dared to include the material as a coating for architectural structures and the result could not have been more special.
The
stainless steel walls create sober reflections and highlight the colors of the surroundings in the space created by architect
Barbara Dundes at
CASACOR São Paulo . A tree in the middle of the living room brings a feeling of freshness and relief, and the rustic textured flooring evokes the earth. The professional's idea was to create a home inspired by the Chinese philosophy of tao, which in Mandarin can mean path or method.
The
stainless steel volume represents a
futuristic vision of innovation and progress in the environment of the
SALA2 Arquitetura office, presented at
CASACOR São Paulo . The main theme of the project, annatto, red in Tupi-Guarani, influenced the architects in the design of the house, which seeks in vernacular architecture a way to honor Brazil's indigenous heritage.
