7 spaces at CASACOR São Paulo 2021 discuss new living trends
Kika Tiengo - Hall Abluo, project by CASACOR São Paulo 2021.

(Fran Parente/CASACOR)

The Original House , the theme of the CASACOR São Paulo exhibition in 2021, promotes a series of reflections, especially due to the evident desire to return to origins, to seek in ancestry and simplicity the necessary balance between the past and the future. Thus, seven environments at CASACOR São Paulo 2021 discuss these new living trends through furniture, colors and design. Check it out!

Baby's Room, by Fernanda Rubatino

Fernanda Rubatino - Quarto La Vie. projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2021.

(Renato Navarro/CASACOR)

With a color palette ranging from shades of green, white and wood, the baby's room design prioritized furniture that would accompany the child through the different stages of growth, and that at the same time would bring the lightness and comfort of childhood in Minas Gerais, homeland of the architect.

Hall and Staircase, by Flávia Cardim

Flávia Cardim - Hall e Escadaria, projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2021.

(Evelyn Müller/CASACOR)

With a more maximalist approach, inspired by design legends such as Dorothy Draper, Billy Baldwin, Sister Parish and Jean Michel Frank, the space stands out for its colors and textures that, in the professional's view, revive feelings of welcome with a language immersed in striking décor from the 70s .

Noah Room, by Gregory Copello

Gregory Copello - Quarto Noah, projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2021.

(MCA Estudio/CASACOR)

The architect believes in slow living as a housing principle for his environment. According to the professional, the inspiration came from a concept that translates tranquility, comfort and rest , above all.

(Denilson Machado/CASACOR)

The use of earthy tones and natural elements, which make the room a rustic contemporary space, has the function of providing a connection with the essence, thus helping to induce balance and awareness.

Hall Abluo, by Kika Tiengo

Kika Tiengo - Hall Abluo, projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2021.

(Renato Navarro/CASACOR)

Inspired by the spirit of rebellion and freedom of Ettore Sottsass , creator of the Memphis Group – a watershed movement in design and architecture in the 1980s –, the space anticipates a frenzy for the valorization of freedom and emotions , especially affection.
Kika Tiengo - Hall Abluo, project by CASACOR São Paulo 2021.

(Fran Parente/CASACOR)

Earthy and green tones convey a feeling of warmth and comfort .

Social House, by Léo Shehtman

(Salvador Cordaro/CASACOR)

Leo Shehtman - Social House, project for CASACOR São Paulo 2021.

(Salvador Cordaro/CASACOR)

The main idea behind the space is the integration and flexibility of the home as a business environment, where it is possible to reconcile different uses and also as a creative space for new ways of working and living.

Bookstore, by Luciana Paraiso and Luisa Pernet

Luciana Paraiso Arquitetura - Livraria, projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2021.

(Renato Navarro/CASACOR)

Affective memories and family experiences contextualize the contemporary environment, which, while offering a certain simplicity , is cozy and functional. Its earthy and off-white colors and unique lighting design guarantee these characteristics.
Luciana Paraiso Architecture - Bookstore, project by CASACOR São Paulo 2021.

(Renato Navarro/CASACOR)

Furthermore, the project was entirely designed to be a space that could serve both as a commercial bookstore and as a reading and relaxation space that also fits perfectly into a residential environment.

Aegis House, by Studio Ro+Ca

Studio Roca - Casa Égide, projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2021.

(MCA Estudio/CASACOR)

It is a well-designed home for the resident to reconnect in a cozy space! Made to live with time, enjoy the family, prepare your own meal and enjoy the garden.
Studio Roca - Egide House, project by CASACOR São Paulo 2021.

(Denilson Machado/CASACOR)

The very shape of the house, in a U-shape, conveys the idea that it is protecting itself from the outside. The main garden is an internal courtyard and the entire house faces it, where a tree stands out that, in itself, carries many meanings. : the symbolism of connection with nature and our roots, life that renews itself and adapts to the inclement weather of each cycle.
