There's no denying it:
everyone wants to know what's hot at CASACOR São Paulo 2021. The most anticipated architecture, decoration, design and landscaping show of the year is held at Parque Mirante, attached to Allianz Parque, in São Paulo, where presents
56 stunning environments that feature the main highlights in furniture, coverings and colors that will win over those passionate about the world of the home. Are you curious? See below
7 trends that invaded CASACOR São Paulo and that will soon be in your home too!
1. Organic forms
(MCA Studio/CASACOR)
You may not realize it right away, but it is not so easy to find right angles in the compositions of CASACOR São Paulo in 2021. This is because the exhibition is
full of organic shapes : that is, those that simulate the shapes found in nature. Whether in forays into walls or in the skylight above the table, the rounded and irregular patterns are everywhere.
Melina Romano- Casa Alma Duratex. (MCA Estudio/CASACOR)
It is interesting to note that these patterns can also appear on tabletops, on the outline of sofas, or even in the way curtains are positioned. The idea is to take things out of the ordinary and create unusual configurations in the
décor . In other words,
there is no shortage of ways to incorporate the trend! 2. Sofas washed in neutral tones
Patricia Hagobian - Loft Zéfiro Dunelli (Salvador Cordaro/CASACOR)
If you think
neutral sofas aren't trending, think again. It's true that using low-saturation fabrics in furniture coverings is a classic, not least because of its
many benefits : ease of combination, the possibility of highlighting other key pieces and, mainly, the low chances of you getting tired of the chosen color. Their easy adaptation, however, did not prevent them from achieving their own shine in many
(many indeed) environments at CASACOR São Paulo 2021.
Gustavo Martins - CASA Å LEVE, projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2021. (Renato Navarro/CASACOR)
At the show, cream,
off-white and ice tones were prioritized for the furniture, but the trend goes beyond that:
entire compositions in neutral tones conquered the show , including the tone of the walls, carpets and even the works of art ( (Note the asymmetrical leather piece from Atelier ZHZ in the background of the image above). The tip is
to combine the neutral color of the upholstery with designer pieces and coverings made of wood – after all, since we are talking about classics, it is impossible to go wrong with this .
3. Natural textures on the walls
Érica Salguero - Espaço Kairós. (Renato Navarro/CASACOR)
Speaking of
wood , it is important to highlight its fundamental role in the covering of walls, floors and ceilings at CASACOR São Paulo. Perhaps the most democratic element when it comes to decoration, wood appears in a multitude of patterns and tones in the exhibition, creating different visual effects in the environments. It is also worth noting that
the combination of wood and other natural elements never goes out of fashion , and in the exhibition it appears combined with straw, stones and natural fibers.
(Rafael Renzo/CASACOR)
Natural textures, in addition to giving a rustic look, help to make environments more cozy and inviting. Along with them, it is possible to notice a
preference for a warmer and sunnier décor , in tones that vary from terracotta to mustard, as is the case from the Taipa Studio. Another choice worth highlighting are the materials that stimulate touch, such as the linen on the sofa.
4. Brazilian art and design
Estudio Guto Requena - Casa LG ThinQ. (MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)
CASACOR architects and decorators always seek to value products designed and built in Brazil, and this time was no different. Great Brazilian masters steal the show with their
sculptural pieces, surprising designs and colorful works of art that complete most of the environments – for not to say all – with a good dose of regionalism and Brazilianness.
There are many names to mention, so if you want to discover a piece from a specific environment, we invite you to take a stroll through the
CASACOR São Paulo 3D Tour , which lists the main art and design pieces and where to find them. A common point to all environments, is the
importance of each piece in the construction of the intended language for the environment . For those who visit the exhibition, the care taken by the professionals in curating the pieces is more than evident. Simply charming!
5. Bold color combinations
Ana Weege - Living Galeria Perspectiva.
Try to count how many different colors you see in the photo above. Hard, isn't it? The truth is that Living Galeria Perspectiva is a space full of creativity that
imposes no limits on combining colors in decoration . With a very upbeat atmosphere, the space proposes an immersion in its many works of art, while at the same time
inviting you to live in a way that is less full of rules – and why not much more fun?
It is worth noting that, among the bold color combinations,
pink and its variations are the favorite tones of architects and designers . Already on the rise in the decoration market since the rise of the so-called
millennial pink, the hue appears in wallpapers, wall paints and, mainly, in checkered tiles covering the floor.
6. Creative and unusual dividers
Leo Shehtman - Social House. (Salvador Cordaro/CASACOR)
Since
loft apartments have become more common in big cities, architects and decorators have been working hard to find
creative ways to divide spaces without having to seal them off . In this sense,
partitions play a fundamental role in contemporary living, whether to ensure privacy or simply make better use of the indoor area – and it’s very likely that you’ll see more of them around.
Estúdio Liberdade. Pedro Luiz de Marqui - CASACOR SP 2021 (MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)
At CASACOR,
integrated environments have been winning over the cast for some time now – after all, the possibility of
doing more in less space is a real dream , isn’t it? Despite this, the professionals’ source of creativity is far from drying up. At Social House , for example, the kitchen acts as a divider between the living room and the private areas, with a closet and bedroom. Also noteworthy is the
red partition with a circle (remember what we said about organic shapes?), which divides and leads the visitor to a small external balcony with a garage. At Estúdio Liberdade, the partition is raised to another level and takes on an artistic air with the use of
suspended melted glass to delimit the social and private areas.
7. Sculptural lamps
Once again, it is important to mention the spectacular design curation of CASACOR São Paulo – this time, with a focus on the lighting fixtures. True artistic installations, the
lighting fixtures in the exhibition are like floating sculptures that seem
to play the perfect role in finishing the spaces . Sometimes light , sometimes minimalist, sometimes ornate, the lamps in this edition draw everyone's attention to them – and for good reason.
It is interesting to note how the lamps, as well as the armchairs, the choices of coverings and fabrics, also
contribute greatly to the atmosphere of the room . For example, imagine that the two lamps in the photos above were inverted, that is, the one in the House Aegis at Espaço Terra Brasil and vice versa. It wouldn’t make sense! And it wouldn’t have the same effect. That’s why it’s so important to take special care when choosing the lamp – and don’t be modest, because
the more elaborate, the better! 8. Bonus: easter eggs !
Debora Aguiar - Riserva Todeschini. (Renato Navarro/CASACOR)
Those who love
Easter eggs will notice that
CASACOR São Paulo is full of details that can go unnoticed by the inattentive eye . At Riserva Todeschini, for example, the
hanging mini tree is blended into the composition of the coffee table and does not draw attention to itself. despite it being such a delicate item we would like to adopt it right now!
(Salvador Cordaro/CASACOR)
There is no doubt that
everything in the rooms is there for a reason . In the apartment's living room, for example, Paulo Azevedo marked the books arranged on a side table with several
post-its , so that it looks like someone really is there. living, working and studying in that space. We challenge you:
