No space goes unnoticed by the attentive eye of the professionals in the exhibitions, not even bathrooms and lavatories – which are usually overlooked in interior design.

Interior designer Adriana Farias, part of CASACOR São Paulo 2024 , shared some tips and trends for decorating bathrooms and toilets. In the show, the professional designed a surprising modern bathroom, which met the theme proposed for this year " As a gift, the now ". Combining elegance and making use of contact with nature, the designer showed that the bathroom can (and should!) gain its due prominence in interior decoration. Check out his tips below!

Accurate lighting

(Matheus Kaplun/CASACOR)

Lighting can transform any room. When it comes to the bathroom, it is important to choose a combination that meets both your basic needs (such as makeup, bathing, etc.) and also creates a space for relaxation and well-being.

Support stools

(Carolina Mossin/CASACOR)

Stools are welcome whenever possible. Adriana says she likes to have one, even if it's small, to give support, especially to women, when applying body moisturizers, putting on tights or putting on shoes if necessary.

Vertical mirrors

"I like to use bolder wallpaper, with color, when the briefing allows it", explains Adriana Farias about the use of this resource to bring more lightness and a casual air, especially in bathrooms, which are social and less intimate spaces.

Natural stones

Cintia Ramos - Wabi Sabi Lavatory. CASACOR Paraná 2024 Project.

(Marcelo Stammer/CASACOR)

Natural stones, with different textures and even colors, are attracting attention and have been a highlight at CASACOR's exhibitions. "The use of natural stones for sinks in different shapes and finishes has increased considerably and I think this is fantastic, as I am a big fan of these stones", comments the designer.
