It is common to notice that certain colors are in the spotlight when we notice that these tones dominate shop windows or appear frequently on our social networks. These trends emerge from studies by specialized companies that research behaviors, cultures and socio-political scenarios to, from this, define what the aesthetics of the coming years will be like. An example of this is WGSN , one of the most respected trend research companies in the world, which, in partnership with Coloro , revealed what the key colors will be for 2025. According to the report published by them, these colors reflect significant changes for the coming year, where innovative ideas will be crucial in solving the challenges arising from a continuous period of disruption, volatility and uncertainty. Between closed and other brighter palettes, check out five colors that will be on the rise throughout 2025 and take the opportunity to see how they can be incorporated into the decoration of environments at CASACOR 2024 .

Deep blue

Named Future Dusk , the first color of 2025, according to WGSN+Coloro, is a dark, melancholic and intriguing tone, situated between blue and purple , which brings a sense of mystery and escapism. In addition, this color is also an evolution of the powerful dark purple Midnight Plum, which was present in the 2024 study. Future Dusk is aligned with the influence of the second space age, which gives the color a celestial appeal. The shade also works well for transitional themes—whether it’s moving from dark to light or from dusk to dawn—making it perfect for a time of enormous change. It offers a fresh take on the trusted dark blue and manages to feel both familiar and futuristic at the same time.

pale pink

The second color that is in the 2025 trend palette is Transcendent Pink , which is a very understated shade, similar to a neutral nuance, and sophisticated. But it is a very muted pink, which gives the hue a balanced and grounding appeal. An interesting aspect of this soft color is that it is already being seen in virtual worlds created by artificial intelligence, such as the digital spaces created by the metaverse company Pax.world and the architecture studios Grimshaw, Farshid Moussavi, HWKN and WHY. This color connects with the fantastical universe of immersive online environments and the ability of these spaces to transcend borders. This color also brings a sense of stability because it has comforting and grounding qualities, which will be especially relevant during times of crisis, when people will be more drawn to medium and neutral tones. It is a versatile color that can span genders, demographics, and seasons.

However, it also has a synthetic quality that connects with digital themes. This duality unites fantasy and reality , referring to marine life, the fragile ecosystems of the ocean and immersive virtual spaces. This color is linked to wellbeing issues, whether achieved through physical or virtual applications. It is also influenced by a growing focus on biosynthetic flows, where biofabrication and lab-grown materials are used as a more resource-efficient alternative to natural materials.

Coral

The level of saturation also gives this hue an immersive quality, which explores the idea of slowing down as a form of self-care and embracing idleness —traditionally despised—as an antidote to our obsession with productivity. This intense hue is also reminiscent of sunset, encouraging a reset and prioritizing life’s pleasures, addressing the growing importance of escapism in difficult times. It is also aligned with the growing influence of conscious hedonism, where moments of pleasure are mixed with a sense of purpose.

Yellow

The final color listed by WGSN+Coloro is Ray Flower , a warm and inviting radiant yellow. It is inspired by regenerative practices that protect biodiversity , such as the work of British multidisciplinary designer Jess Redgrave, whose ClimaFibre project proposes using sunflowers as a single source for material production, providing everything from cellulose for fabrics to pigments for dyes. This color has an inherently optimistic and healthy quality, which aligns with a growing focus on more radical sustainability approaches — where the environment is considered a co-consumer in the design and production process, and nature is considered in decision-making processes. The radiant aspect also connects with the lunar eclipses that will occur in 2025, linking this yellow hue to all parts of nature, from Earth to space.
