Gastronomy is becoming increasingly more and more like entertainment as people’s passion for cooking is rekindled in their daily lives. With this new behavior in mind, architect Tatiana Moreira, from the Stylehaus Design office, created the Urban Gourmet Oasis , in the second edition of CASACOR Miami .
The multifunctional space is proof that cooking can be done in the same space as having fun and socializing. The room caters to all of these activities: the professional opts for a large counter as the centerpiece, which can be used as a work space, a table for meeting friends and a space to enjoy meals.
Different chandeliers and light fixtures divide other living and dining areas: from contemporary black lamps above a wine table, to pieces of wire mesh floating above a seating area.
Casa Viva is invoked by tropical plants, which give the room an oasis-like feel. Coverings, fabrics and textures engage the senses and convey the room’s hedonistic appeal – materials include wood, stone, silk and velvet.
