A hotel room that breaks away from the conventional and proves that luxury and refinement are the result of good architecture combined with decoration that values the smallest details. This is how the Memorable Hotel Suite , by architects Mariana Borges and Thaysa Godoy, founders of Escritório BorgesGodoy , has been winning over visitors to the 29th CASACOR Minas Gerais . The architects' main goal was to create a project that did not look like a hotel, but rather like a home. Considering that hospitality and comfort were fundamental requirements for the space, the proposal was based on principles of neuroarchitecture and biophilia . With an area of almost 100 m², the project sought to highlight the neutrality and authenticity of the materials, combining different textures and the striking presence of natural elements , such as wood and green landscaping , enhanced by the incidence of natural light . The combination of these elements is responsible for the feeling of coziness, contributing to well-being. Thaiza Godoy e Mariana Borges - Suíte de Hotel Memorável. One of the concerns the architects took was in relation to the intense flow of people in the space, opting to use a concrete-colored vinyl floor , which extends from the bedroom to the bathroom entrance. In the wet area, the porcelain tiles in large slabs were also designed for the day-to-day life of a hotel, as they combine beauty and ease of cleaning, with minimal grout space, prioritizing aesthetics and functionality. The
custom carpentry enhances every detail of the space, from the elegant gold handles to the fine lines of the metalwork shelves, with drawer fronts that display a delicate curved design.
The curation of the contemporary furniture is impeccable, as are the works of art, linens, tones and shapes. The lighting is all dim , creating a cozy atmosphere, except for the headboard, which has two light points for reading. In the color palette, the most prominent elements are in neutral tones , which allows for playing with other stronger tones, such as the darker Capolavoro quartzite. A harmony between beige and gray, with occasional touches of caramel and lead. A luxury suite designed for a cosmopolitan city, with strong urban oasis aspects, which lives up to its name: Memorable Hotel Suite . Designed to be perfectly applicable in all high-end hotel chains, both nationally and internationally, generating fond memories and pleasure . Service – CASACOR Minas Gerais 2024
