From the outside,
Cloud and Co looks like any other ice cream shop in the residential areas of Doha, Qatar. In one of the area’s many limestone-clad buildings, where natural materials and organic ingredients characterize many ice cream chains, this The dreamlike atmosphere can go unnoticed –
until a curious passerby peeks inside . There, the fantasy character is permeated from floor to ceiling by the
play between pink and blue colors .
The interior design developed by the communications agency
Futura focuses on
monochromatic spaces , where everything – from tables and chairs to the floor and decorative objects – is the same color. Its rooms, inspired by
Escher's surrealist drawings , are divided into an entrance with a counter and a room with chairs and tables for meals.
At the entrance, the counter with
granite finish and the play of light and shadow brought by the lamps
create a dimension of depth on the walls and do not make the décor dull . The accessories, generally with organic profiles, in oval or circular shapes, highlight profiles and details to create a graphical environment like no other.
Futura, responsible for developing the project, had initially been tasked with coordinating the store's image. The transition – increasingly unusual –
considers the architecture as the result of successful branding and seems to favor the creation of distinctly artificial environments, built to suit the ideal world they embody. Source: Domus
