There are many names to describe this architectural element –
mashrabiya, brises, cobogós , just to name a few. Despite the differences between them, all of these terms essentially fulfill the same function:
to permeate the passage of light into an environment , while at the same time allowing constant natural ventilation and controlling high temperatures. Mostly made in the shape of a wooden lattice, mashrabiya panels are
simple and clean to apply , since, unlike cobogós, they do not require the use of mortar. Much sought after by architects and designers, mashrabiyas are perfect for establishing a dialogue between interior and exterior,
integrating nature into the decor . At the
CASACOR exhibitions, professionals sought not only to offer comfort to visitors, but also used openwork elements to give
the architecture a unique appearance .
What is mashrabiya?

A major difference with the mashrabiya is that those inside can see the outside environment, but those outside cannot see inside, which gives residents greater privacy.

Another major pillar that supports mashrabiyas is
ventilation . These buildings usually have an architecture that prioritizes air circulation in the environment, and therefore, they are cooler and more welcoming.
