There are many names to describe this architectural element – mashrabiya, brises, cobogós , just to name a few. Despite the differences between them, all of these terms essentially fulfill the same function: to permeate the passage of light into an environment , while at the same time allowing constant natural ventilation and controlling high temperatures. Mostly made in the shape of a wooden lattice, mashrabiya panels are simple and clean to apply , since, unlike cobogós, they do not require the use of mortar. Much sought after by architects and designers, mashrabiyas are perfect for establishing a dialogue between interior and exterior, integrating nature into the decor . At the CASACOR exhibitions, professionals sought not only to offer comfort to visitors, but also used openwork elements to give the architecture a unique appearance .
