Between September 28th and October 10th, Milan will host Milano Design City. There will be two weeks of programming focused on design, decoration, technology, sustainability and the circular economy. Lectures, workshops, round tables, exhibitions and showrooms are planned. at various points in the city, with the support of the municipal government.
The Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone play an important social and economic role for Milan, recognized as the world capital of design. Although Fuorisalone implemented a digital platform in June, nothing could replace the grandeur of the in-person event. The general idea of Design City 2020 is precisely about allowing visitors to move around Milan and rethink the future of urban planning in the world of the “new normal”.
