Ensuring good lighting in the living room is essential to create a pleasant atmosphere in the room. Throughout the day, allowing natural light to enter highlights the beauty of the spaces and keeps the space fresh and airy .

2. Invest in a yellow light

When night falls and artificial lighting needs to be turned on, yellow light is the best option. Because it is a strong and intimate lighting color, it is ideal for rooms that are used both for rest and socializing.

3. Include textures from rugs

You know those empty spaces on shelves, bookcases and dressers where you feel like something is missing and you don't know what to put? Plants are the perfect item! Snake plant , aloe vera, gardenia and peace lily are some ideal types to have indoors. In addition to their health benefits, they add a lot of charm and uplift to your interior decor.

5. Go for warm, earthy tones

Earthy tones create a feeling of comfort, lightness, and connection with nature. This color palette, which includes shades of brown, caramel, burgundy, sand, copper, coral, terracotta, and nude, became a trend in 2024 and was present at CASACOR. The colors can appear in small details of the furniture or more broadly on the walls, as in the Eu Lírico project, designed by the Arqsign office.

6. Enhance crafts, paintings and artwork

Paintings, sculptures, prints, photographs and handmade objects are great elements to combine sophistication and affection in the living room. In addition to improving the aesthetics of the space, works of art are versatile elements of decoration, as they can occupy different corners of the room, such as walls or furniture.

7. Incorporate wood from shelving

In addition to being a sustainable material , wood is widely used by architects when the goal is comfort. A great way to incorporate this covering into the living room is through shelves , which, in addition to creating an intimate atmosphere with the wooden slats, provide functionality to the space.
