In the Central Room of CASACOR Minas Gerais 2017 , Dodora Gontijo brought the city and nature into the space. Using the large windows that frame the external landscape, the professional created an environment that invites residents to stay, have a coffee, chat and coexist. Taking advantage of the original beauty of the mansion where the exhibition takes place, the project makes the most of the different ceiling heights and verticality with well-designed proportions and lower furniture to expand the space.
Dodora simply completes the scene with carefully chosen pieces to perfectly compose the space. Pieces by great Brazilian designers, such as Lasar Segall and Cláudia Moreira Salles, bring comfort to the environment. On the walls, paintings by Celma Albuquerque Galeria de Arte align with the luxury of the Aubousson tapestry. The highlight is a four-part mirror that moves and reflects all angles of the room. The object was designed exclusively by Jader Almeida for the project and officially launched at the exhibition.
A 20-year-old tree, 4 m tall and with a metallic texture on half the wall complete the Central Room and make it a unique space to enjoy and contemplate life and its pleasures.
