The clock is the guardian of time, and this project shows how different eras can coexist very well in the same place. This narrative permeates this work by the office of
Marcelo Diniz , who created the Bar do Relógio at
CASACOR São Paulo . The 270
m² space was divided into three areas and occupies the building that houses the traditional Jockey Club clock. The design was based on the original structure, highlighting the historical value of the listed architectural project. There is no shortage of boiserie on the walls, golden details and elements with classic references. At the same time, the space is generous enough to incorporate current concepts and the relaxed atmosphere that a bar requires. The layout was designed with functionality in mind, ideal for hosting meetings during the exhibition. The Gucci wallpaper with heron prints - the new décor choice - steals the show and dominates the color palette. The Venetian pink tone has taken over the other walls and invaded the ceiling, without ceremony. Symmetry organizes the composition of the furniture, with curved sofas in cotton velvet, rosewood tables and ebony and straw chairs in a circular arrangement. Just like in a living room.
In the marble fireplace area, leather armchairs are positioned on the oriental rug, creating a feeling of well-being and elegance.
The lighting does not go unnoticed, with its silk shantung pendants. Another special detail is the ebony cabinets and small screen, designed by the professionals, which serve as a wine cellar and china cabinet. The installation with photos is by Gigi Monteiro.

At the entrance, the façade is marked by large off-white and gold tile panels, created by professionals especially for the exhibition. They complete the original architecture, along with three marsala-colored awnings. The terrace is made up of several lounges that provide visual access to the outside landscape. The sturdy furniture combines tubular structure, nautical rope and wood.
The Bar do Relógio also has a garden, designed in conjunction with landscaper Mônica Costa. It features an updated use of topiary species, here in a spiral shape. The carbon steel sculptures are by artist Marcio Faria.
