2025 was a year of changes in the field of decoration. Marked by subtle contrasts, aesthetic affection, and a more conscious search for identity, the year will be remembered for a shift in thinking, where houses began to reflect not only styles but also states of spirit, memories, and choices more connected to the present time.

Amid tactile textures, earthy tones, organic forms, and the dialogue between past and future, this retrospective gathers the ten trends that stood out the most in the projects throughout the year and helped to shape the new codes of contemporary living.

Boho style

The boho gained more sophisticated contours in 2025. Natural fabrics, handwoven textures, fibers, plants, and neutral tones led this more mature reading of the style. The result was projects with a free, affectionate, and cozy aura, where the artisanal dialogued with cleaner lines in an expression of aesthetic freedom and well-being.

Repurposed nostalgia

The past was present but through a new lens. Period furniture, references to the 1970s and 1980s, saturated colors, and affectionate objects resurfaced with a contemporary and less literal reading. This revisited nostalgia reinforced the idea that memory is also raw material for decoration. In 2025, it appeared as a link between times, reinterpreting what has already been lived.

Brown as the new black and other earthy tones

Brown took center stage, taking the place of black in many projects. Alongside it, variations of sandy, terracotta, clay, and warm beige dominated entire palettes. This choice brought coziness, sobriety, and a sense of permanence to the projects.

Soft and curved lines

The curves dominated the design of the interiors. Organic sofas, rounded armchairs, oval tables, and architectural arches created more fluid flows. This softening of shapes brought a sense of warmth, movement, and lightness.

Modular and multifunctional pieces

The flexibility of spaces became a focus in 2025. Sofas that reconfigure, adaptable shelves, and tables with multiple uses brought dynamism to the house. This trend responds to new modes of living and working, more adapted to the changes of daily life.

Valuation of handicrafts

The handmade gained prominence in the universe of decoration. Ceramics, tapestries, authentic carpentries, and pieces of local production became protagonists. More than aesthetics, this trend reinforced ties with the territory and with traditional knowledge.

Striped patterns

The stripes emerged as one of the most present graphics in 2025, bringing visual rhythm to walls, upholsteries, rugs, and even ceilings. The use of stripes helped create a sense of movement and depth, especially in compact projects.

Wellness Design

Well-being took shape in the materiality of projects. Soft lighting, natural materials, careful acoustics, and fluid layouts began to structure the projects. The wellness design translated a greater attention to the senses, to mental rest, and to emotional comfort, reflecting a living space more sensitive to human needs.

Highlight for the ceilings

The ceiling ceased to be a secondary element and began to integrate the project as an expressive plane in a trend called color capping. Paintings, wallpapers, moldings, sculptural lighting, and even prints transformed the so-called "fifth wall" into a narrative element. The movement brought emotional depth to the projects, creating immersive environments.

Mix of styles

The idea of a single dominant style gave way to hybrid compositions. Classic and contemporary, rustic and industrial, vintage and minimalist began to coexist in the same project. The mix revealed a desire for a more authorial living, guided by affective choices and less by fixed rules.
