Inspired by French restaurants with retro chic décor, a style that marked the period between the 1950s and 1970s in Europe, Patrizia Genovese and Guilherme Longo, from 242 Studio, designed the
CASACOR São Paulo 2017 Restaurant , operated by
Badebec .

The
400 m2 project is the result of intensive research carried out at interior design fairs around the world. The duo absorbed trends and reinvented them in every corner of the space, such as the Italian marble on the tables and the travertine, brought from Turkey and applied to the façade in
a French pattern . The influences of the Milan Fair are evident in the golden details and the fabrics covering the furniture in pale pink tones and the 2017 Pantone color of the year,
Greenery .

The
restaurant still hides some secrets. Visitors are surprised when they enter the bathrooms, which have porcelain tiles and artistic mosaics made with a mix of tiles and natural stones. Another space to be discovered is the garden with furniture from the Estrela line by Irmãos Campana.

A highlight is the bench from the “Objets Nomades” collection for Louis Vuitton, designed by Tokujin Yoshioka. The piece is part of the architect’s personal collection and is one of the French brand’s modular creations, which can be disassembled and carried in a suitcase to any destination.

With the aim of bringing design closer to people, the project brings together ideas and solutions that should make consumers reflect, for example, on the role of design in society, its impact on everyday life and its functionality. “We took the exhibition’s target audience into account: people who are in tune with design, who love trends and would like to visit a restaurant with this atmosphere in the city,” says Guilherme. “We have a focused view; if it doesn’t work, it’s not pretty.”

BADEBEC Chef and owner Lourdes Bottura offers a contemporary and creative menu with regional influences. This is a great alternative for healthy eating with typical Brazilian flavors.
