The
LCAC Arquitetura office, owned by partners André Chukr and Luis Canepa, was given the challenge of renovating this apartment located in the Moema neighborhood, São Paulo. The project began with the creation of a
new entrance hall , which did not exist before. To delimit it, a
hollow wooden partition was built, and below it a bench was placed that also serves as a shelf for storing shoes.

On the opposite wall, hooks were placed to hang bags and coats, fulfilling the space's purpose of functioning as a vestibule.

The apartment's
home theater is located where one of the apartment's four bedrooms used to be. To integrate it with the living and dining rooms, a wall was knocked down, and the
remaining beams and pillars were stripped to expose the concrete.

In the dining room,
the laundry room, which is behind this room, had to be remodeled so that the niche could accommodate a large sideboard. The renovation also made it possible to create another niche, this time in the kitchen, to accommodate the refrigerator.

The apartment's guest bathroom and one of its bathrooms were also renovated. Changes to
the coverings ,
carpentry ,
metalwork ,
fixtures and
stone modernized these spaces. In the kitchen, all the carpentry, appliances and finishes were also replaced, completely renovating the space. Check out more photos of the apartment in the gallery below:
