Overlooking
Boa Viagem Beach, in Recife (PE) , this
120 m² apartment already belonged to a couple who used the property for leisure and rest on the weekends. Recently, they decided to carry out a complete renovation, including the decoration, and, for this mission, they called on architects
Ana Moura and Ana Higino , from the firm
Ana Moura Ana Higino Arquitetura and cast from
CASACOR Pernambuco .

“It’s the second project we’ve done for these clients, who have several properties and like each one to have a different style”, says Ana Moura. “
This time, they wanted a project that would make them feel like they were in Rio de Janeiro ,” adds partner Ana Higino.

Originally, the apartment had a suite and two
bedrooms , which shared a guest
bathroom . “The clients requested the creation of a bathroom and that we try to create another suite, in addition to integrating the kitchen with the living room, keeping the sea in sight even when cooking and washing dishes”, points out Ana Higino.

A family room was transformed into a bedroom with bathroom, creating the new guest suite.
After the renovation, the property now has four bedrooms, three of which are suites. “The client’s mother got the biggest one, already designed with accessibility features, even though she is super active and independent at 82 years old,” says Higino.

The kitchen also has cabinets in blue and sand colors and the panels in the white matte lacquer room have an office design. Among the designer furniture, it is worth highlighting the Malha chairs (with straw back), by
Jader Almeida , the Eclipse dining table (in white), by
Marcelo Ligieri , and the Senior armchair, by
Jorge Zalszupin .

The duo also chose not to use chandeliers in the dining room, adopting a wall lamp with a long arm, which extends to the table. “This way, the client has the option of keeping the lamp on the wall, highlighting the painting, and using a central light point on the ceiling”, explains Ana Moura, pointing out the importance of colored screen printing to bring more identity to the project.

“Our concern was that the view of the sea, so striking, would be the protagonist of this apartment. We also sought to maintain the lightness of the architecture, so that the reference to Rio de Janeiro was present in our project. Finally, clients still report that they have the feeling that the property has become bigger”, celebrates Ana Higino.
