The aesthetics of the 2000s are back in fashion, and as a result,
in decoration we are also beginning to see signs that the look that
mixes boho and Scandinavian styles with more artisanal elements is making a comeback.
Aesthetic bedrooms are known for bringing together several trends and combining them in a creative and harmonious way. Imagine the look of a bedroom from a
teen movie from the beginning of the decade – it probably follows this décor.
LED lights, (artificial) plants on the wall, wallpaper, photos, posters or pictures above the headboard... can you picture the scene? These are typical inspirations from what circulates on
Pinterest . At
CASACOR São Paulo 2023, some projects stood out for presenting an
alternative proposal that brings typical aspects of the style, but in a
more elegant and contemporary way – perfect for a
reinterpretation 20 years later !
Plants on the wall
(Amanda Bibiano / CASACOR)
Aesthetic bedrooms often feature
fake plants hanging on the wall. In the project designed by Maycon Foglione,
real plants give the room a cozy feel and are placed on the open shelf – a modern way of placing them on the wall and using
carpentry as an ally .
Frames in different proportions
(Renato Navarro / CASACOR)
Whether it's
family photos, quotes or even posters , bedrooms in the 2000s used to shine with compositions with different sizes and proportions on the walls
just behind the headboard to create a
more casual look . This loft designed by
Marcela Penteado wanted to bring this atmosphere in a more
timeless and contemporary way.
Led Lights
LEDs were almost a
prerequisite for an aesthetic bedroom in the 2000s . In this home designed for a young gamer, architect
Cilene Lupi brings this element in a more contemporary way, in which the lighting serves to
highlight the headboard and side table.
Mix of colors and prints
(Romulo Fialdini / CASACOR)
Working with the
color palette , mixing elements and bringing personality is another fundamental point of the style. The project signed by Luiz Otávio Debeus
mixes patterns in the flooring and walls with a
mystical and cozy proposal .
Colorful room
Colors are also an important part of aesthetic rooms , as is the case with Marcelo Salum's proposal in his space called "
Morada do Samba ". The architect sought tones that would bring the joy of carnival and samba circles to the space and created a cheerful and fun look.
