This year, the theme of all editions of CASACOR is Planet Home , based on three pillars: sustainability, technology and affection. The motto deals with the home as a universe, which can generate positive changes in the world, from the inside out and from the outside in. inside. Furthermore, one of the challenges for the professionals who will design the spaces is to use technology in favor of human beings, going against the wave of isolation, and creating affective solutions for the residents.

To warm up the topic and raise some solutions that can be used to use technology in the home, innovation specialist Samuel Siqueira Ambrosio has put together some tips that can serve as inspiration for your decor. “When the living room, kitchen and bedroom share the same area, the furniture can adapt according to the needs of the moment, dividing the space. And the choice of more technological products, with discreet design and decorative appeal, include functions that make a big difference in smaller spaces”, says Ambrosio.

Check out the expert's ideas below:
  • It is worth investing in items such as washing and drying machines (if there is no shared laundry room) and placing them on a hanging piece of furniture. This way, there is no need to use clotheslines;
  • Smart TVs are also welcome and, of course, can be installed on the wall. If they are 4K, even better, as the image and sound quality are very high, eliminating the need for speakers and sound boxes, saving space and money;
  • Wi-Fi cameras are ideal for residential use, especially in small apartments. This is because, to work, they only need a wireless connection and a power outlet, and there is no need to modify the structure of the rooms. The user can easily move them around. and has access to images via smartphone, receiving notifications for movement and with the possibility of listening and speaking to the environment (voice interaction). It is also possible to record everything on a memory card. Ideal for maximizing security and keeping an eye on pets;
  • Digital locks do not require the use of keys, as access is granted using passwords, cards or proximity stickers or biometrics. These devices also have an anti-burglar alarm, open door sensor and automatic locking. With functionality, in addition to practicality, when entering and leaving, you can quickly add or remove a person's access, allowing visitors to enter the apartment without the owner being present at the property;
  • Ceiling fans are also a great option, as they combine lighting bulbs and a ventilation system into a single unit. And you can find equipment with a bold design, making your home more modern.
In addition to the tips given by the expert, it is worth highlighting some of the bets already used by professionals in the show's cast:
At CASACOR Santa Catarina 2018 , Florianópolis edition, Gabriela Dutra and Vanessa Buonomo designed Lavanderia!, a space created from the desire to unite affective memory with technology and sustainability.
