A versatile and timeless material, stones continue to be a trend in the world of decoration, and the environments of the most recent editions of CASACOR are proof of this. The possibilities for use are endless — from floors, walls, countertops and even furniture — as is the range of colors and variations of veins . In addition, stones, in natural versions or as industrialized sheets, bring the feeling of having a little bit of nature inside the home. Check out ideas on how to use stones in decoration in the selection of projects from CASACOR 2024 below!

Distributed between a spa, gym and bathrooms, the 95 m² wellness space interprets the highest experience of well-being and self-care: one that values a healthy mind in balance with the body and spirit. A highlight of the project, the Silver Wave marble , by VM Stone, weaves a narrative of elegance and serenity , in addition to offering a sensory experience evoked by the intertwining veins. 3. Adriana Farias - Hutukara | CASACOR Sao Paulo

Adriana Farias - Hutukara. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2024.

Adriana Farias - Hutukara. (Israel Gollino/CASACOR)

In the bathroom designed by interior designer Adriana Farias, stone plays a central role in connecting visitors with nature. The material chosen for the sink is Vitória Régia quartzite , mined in the North of Brazil and presented with a deep brushed finish. This rock has several tones that evoke the region's native flower, which blooms in the waters of the Rio Negro. The sink skirt has an organic shape, inspired by the natural lines of the plant, reinforcing the theme of integration with nature.

Shades of gray contrast with bold colors make up the 173 m² living room by architect David Bastos. Natural stones are the main feature here and can be seen on some of the coffee and side tables, on the island bar (which is a block of carved solid stone with a rough finish) and on the round table in the lounge. This is a Spanish covering, new to Brazil, which displays a diversity of tones and intertwined veins .

6. Renato Mendonça - Atimo House | CASACOR Sao Paulo

Renato Mendonça - Casa Átimo. Project by CASACOR São Paulo 2024. Renato Mendonça - Casa Átimo. Recognizing history and looking forward to the future, but with a focus on the present: this is the essence of the 110 m² with a living room integrated into the kitchen, a bedroom with a home office and a balcony. It is a possible empire, hence the choice of the large-scale painting from the Empire series by Tiago Mestre. The ceiling, which reaches 5 m, with a sloping ceiling, is accompanied by dark wood in the carpentry and contemporary furniture. In the closet, the sculpture by Gustavo Rezende reigns supreme: the man leaning towards the screen of his cell phone, framed in the gap in the wall of the headboard, seems to criticize our inability to disconnect.

Measuring 110 m², the house designed by architect Renato Mendonça reflects the maturation of a home focused on well-being, tranquility and coexistence. In the social area, the island sculpted with XTONE Aged Clay material, by VM Stone, reproduces the creamy gray tone, harmonizing with the countertop and the kitchen niches. The stone brings an elegant design that connects us to nature, with a uniformly grained background and a variety of crystalline patterns. Highlighting the special striatto finish on the high pediment of the countertop.
