The view of the sea in Angra dos Reis (RJ) makes this duplex penthouse even more special: the
552 m² property was renovated by architect
Paula Neder , from
CASACOR Rio de Janeiro , to be the home of newlyweds. The plan was to create a comfortable, modern and functional space for the new phase of the family's life.
On the first floor, the hall gives access to the private area, where the suites are located. On the upper floor is the living space with an open
kitchen , dining and TV rooms and two living areas.
"One of the biggest challenges was integrating several spaces into the same room, which also has two pillars," says Paula. The union of the spaces created a greater sense of fluidity in the property.
At the request of the residents, a second kitchen was created, open to the living room and with a large table to serve as a place for socializing. The terrace has a hot tub, barbecue, dining table, lounge, bathroom and sauna.
In the private area, there are the two daughters' bedrooms and the couple's suite - the latter was expanded and gained a
bathroom with a view of the landscape.
"We created the counter facing the landscape, with a bathtub and shower with windows overlooking the sea," explains Paula.
The choice of carpentry for the project was made carefully to meet the family's needs, without exaggerating the amount of furniture. "We opted for pieces with a signature design, elegant and timeless," says the architect.
The Mole armchair, by
Sérgio Rodrigues , was a desire from the beginning, as were the stools by
Gustavo Bittencourt . Other pieces complement the spaces, such as the
Jader Almeida lamps on the dining table and the comfortable modular sofa for watching TV.
