Natural landscapes can (and should!) be incorporated into interior design projects for spaces more connected with nature and well-being. This is proven by CASACOR São Paulo 2025, held at Parque da Água Branca, from May 27 to August 3. The 38th edition of the main architecture, landscaping, and interior design exhibition in the Americas offers a new perspective on the dialogue between architecture and nature.

With centenary trees, dirt paths, and a bucolic atmosphere in the heart of the city, the park has become an essential part of the scenery for the spaces of the exhibition. The projects do not ignore the surrounding landscape — they enhance it, creating compositions that invite the green inside the spaces. Inspired by this organic integration between inside and outside, we explore ways to bring natural landscapes into the home below!

External view as part of the decor

Bringing the nature inside is not just an aesthetic choice — it is a lifestyle change. At CASACOR São Paulo, many spaces were designed with generous openings, well-connected balconies, and materials that reinforce visual contact with the surroundings. The idea is simple: let the landscape be the protagonist, without the need for drastic interventions. After all, nature already offers perfect textures, shapes, and colors.

This concept can be replicated at home with architectural or decorative choices. Opening windows, removing visual barriers, allowing the green to invade the field of vision — all contribute to a more tranquil, healthy atmosphere connected with the environment!

How to integrate natural landscapes into interior design

The secret is to create continuity between what is outside and what is inside. Instead of isolating internal spaces, the proposal is to extend the areas to the external area or bring nature inside in a fluid way.

Use windows as frames

Frame nature as if it were a work of art. Taking advantage of large windows, glass doors, or sliding panels allows the eye to reach beyond the architecture. Trees, gardens, mountains, and even the sky gain prominence in the decor. The important thing is to avoid visual obstacles and enhance the view.

Create transitional spaces

Balconies, internal patios, and winter gardens serve as hybrid areas. These spaces bridge the external and the internal, especially when furnished with sofas, plants, and welcoming lighting. They are ideal for those who wish to live more fluidly between the two worlds.

Choose natural materials

The raw materials bring the interior closer to the essence of the surroundings. Wood, stone, natural fibers, clay, and fabrics like linen or cotton reinforce the presence of nature even without an open window. These materials bring texture, coziness, and authenticity to the decor.
Beatriz Quinelato Architecture - Breath. Natural textures, earth tones, and soft shapes contribute to the warm feel of this 45 m² master suite, designed as an urban refuge under the lens of a simple and conscious lifestyle. Among the materials, rough stones stand out, used in the bathroom countertop, in the shower area, and at the base of the fireplace, in addition to the wood ceiling with a grid pattern. The bed is surrounded by art: from the ceiling hangs the curious sculpture Beings, made of wood and ceramics, crafted by André Ferri. Close to the curtain, one can see Crossword, a delicate tangle of resin and copper, a work by Luiz Hermano.

Reproduce nature's palette

The color palette outside can inspire the interior. Greens, earthy tones, beiges, grayish blues, and warm tones evoke the earth, water, sky, and sun. Using these colors on walls, furniture, or accessories establishes a visual harmony with the landscape.

Cultivate nature inside the house

Plants and natural arrangements are simple and effective resources. From pots with foliage to vertical gardens, the presence of green humanizes the spaces and improves air quality. At CASACOR SP 2025, for example, many projects used native and tropical species to reinforce this sense of belonging to the location.
