Wood panels are present in many of the rooms in this
CASACOR Rio – in a wide variety of tones and formats. And although almost all of them appear as wall coverings, in some they take on
new functions .
Architect
Paula Müller , for example, chose a
walnut-toned panel to camouflage the existing closet in her Tu Vens Suite. The piece starts on the side and
becomes the headboard of the bed , bringing a more contemporary feel to the space that is marked by the house's classic architecture, with moldings, stained glass windows and ornate portals.
In Room 021, which is almost next door, the duo
Camila Simbalista and
Paula Wetzel opted for a
natural oak panel version that covers almost the entire space. The highlight is its
use as a headboard , with slatted wood and built-in lighting, serving as a support for works of art.
Mauricio Nóbrega, Bia Wolff, Maria Estellita e Patricia Vieira - Quintal - Café e Livraria. Um ambiente dois em um. É café. É livraria. E ainda tem uma charmosa área externa onde nossos visitantes podem curtir um fim de tarde ou café da manhã (aos fins de semana) em meio ao verde do jardim. Construído em três contêineres, o espaço ganhou revestimento de pinus de reflorestamento que ajuda a trazer um ar mais aconchegante aos ambientes criando um clima quase de quintal de casa. A decoração criada por Mauricio Nóbrega, Bia Wolff, Maria Estellita e Patricia Vieira aposta em móveis e tecidos de tons claros e remete a uma cabana de praia. Afinal, estamos no Rio. CASACOR Rio 2023 will once again take place at Residência Brando Barbosa, which, for this edition, has been transformed into a boutique hotel with
43 spaces decorated by some of the most renowned professionals in architecture, interior design and landscaping. The exhibition can be visited until October 15, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 12 pm to 9 pm, and Sundays, from 10 am to 8 pm.
