CASACOR professionals always draw inspiration from something or someone to design their spaces for exhibitions. Many of them create people, as characters, to fulfill the desires and wishes of the supposed "residents" and then finalize the concept of their environments and present their ideas and solutions to the public. The 1st edition of
CASACOR Franca was no different. Several architects and professionals created fictitious clients for the spaces that make up the exhibition. From travelers to cowboys, the characters at the event are a mix and we present them below, in a variety of concepts and decoration styles.
Architects Daniel Dadalto and Mirela de Campos, from the Cubo - Arquitetura e Design firm, designed the Banho do Homem [Man's Bathroom ], which proposes a bathroom ideal for an “urban cowboy”. Rustic elements, such as the reclaimed wood floor, the cement-like cladding, the horseshoes as a decorative panel and the more sober color palette are presented with sophistication. Pieces that appear to be improvised reinforce this impression: the planter replaces the bar, the wooden bucket replaces the clothes hamper and the soap dish is made from a wooden plank. “We wanted to combine modernity with an organic atmosphere, and that’s why we chose to work with this style. He’s a man who lives a casual life, but knows how to live in a refined environment,” they explain. In Recanto do Colecionador , a project by architects Mariana Oliveira, Filipi Oliveira and Lucas Gonçalves, from the mf+arquitetos office, the main character is a cosmopolitan who loves to explore the world. In each new experience in different countries, he gathers objects and pieces that help to make his home feel cozy. His home is the refuge he created to recharge his batteries before heading off to the next adventure. Wood is the main material used in the structure and decoration of the loft, which includes a garage, living room, dining room, bedroom and bathroom. Works by Brazilian and international artists combine with furniture designed by renowned designers to offer comfort and intimacy. Traveling is also the passion of the protagonist of the Tasting Room , created by architects Nelson Arruda and Ricardo Ferrari. The space, inspired by industrial New York and London pubs, is ideal for gathering friends and family. “The environment was created for people who like to discover new places, take photos, and try good wines. And it is at home that they choose to spend time with those they love most,” the professionals say. Architects Juliana Brigagão and Elaine Queçada, from Anexo Arquitetura, chose to accommodate residents who value time alone. When thinking about the couple's bathroom , they selected elements that provide moments of togetherness and respect the couple's privacy at the same time. The deck is integrated, but with two showers and two sinks, so residents can relax together without giving up their individuality. The bathroom invests in natural elements and lighting to make the experience even more relaxing. But not all the characters in the house are fictional. In the Chef's Reception Space , architects Marcelo Diniz and Mateus Finzetto, together with interior designer and artist Deise Pucci, decided to pay tribute to chef Ana Luiza Trajano, one of the great exponents of Brazilian gastronomy. Born in Franca, the protagonist is the owner of the renowned Instituto Brasil a Gosto. Her passion for the art of cooking inspired the professionals to revive the old habits of gathering the whole family for good meals. The project includes three spaces: an entrance hall, with a collection of Ana Trajano's authorial cookbooks; a kitchen equipped with modern and cozy furniture; and a balcony with a table, sofa and armchair next to a herb and vegetable garden.
