A haven of creation, connection and affection, surrounded by nature and a view that merges with the sea, the Workshop of Tomorrow is one of the highlights of CASACOR Santa Catarina | Florianópolis 2024. Designed with the irreverent elegance of architects Emanueli Schneiders and Leonardo Gazzoni, from Octaedro Arquitetura , the space invites creation, development and continuous transformation, uniting the present and the eternal in perfect harmony.

The project proposes the occupation of the house-studio through the fluid connection between the arts , the naturalness of its elements and the important relationship with the landscape , local culture and ancestry urgently needed in the present, in order to give impetus to the idea that now is the time we have to think, dream and build tomorrow, as the creators that we are.

Embracing the structure of the old fishing ranch, the Oficina do Amanhã extends over a seaside area where the architects proposed spaces for socializing and contemplation. In the garden , surrounded by lush landscaping, the lounge with fireplace faces the view of the sunset and the understanding that the garden integrates and mimics the architecture, transforming itself into a unison element on the beach.
The openings are framed by the irregular movement of the brises-soleils in round wooden biribas , in order to create a contrast of light and shadow as the sun advances over the glass planes. Inside, the entrance hall gradually reveals the intimate and enigmatic atmosphere, while at the same time clearly summarizing the intention of the project: as a refuge for creation, there is art in everything, and in its different manifestations. Still in relation to the garden , the armchair/installation in dry grass “A casa”, by artist Bruna Granucci, reveals that everything is root and that, for the transformations of tomorrow, we must not forget the nest, what remains.

Entering the space decorated with a careful selection of nationally designed furniture and original pieces by the architects in rustic wood, a large table in natural travertine becomes a workspace and, at the other end, houses daily kitchen tasks, while in the background, the library looms large and runs along the perimeter of the space, complemented by the shapes and textures of the vases by artist Anamaria Brüggemann and her work of giving voice to clay. Under the large table, an installation made of caiçara fishing nets emerges as a highlight due to its volume and lightness, embracing the structure of the hut as a luminous point of memory and recovery of the place, of the living local culture that is in force in pieces such as the bunch of bobbins developed by the Palhoça Craftsmen's Association, framed by the green that, even internally, still prevails in the space.

In the central living room , the fireplace made of solid rustic granite seems to sprout from the floor, which, in the same material, surrounds the social area and rises to the back of the bar , where the arrangement of the armchairs allows for a family circle of conversation and contemplation of the landscape. In the seafront room , the natural wood paneling that surrounds the space suggests a frame, so as to make the view of the sea a living, moving painting , revealing the transformation of the day and time as a work to be contemplated forever. In this space, the Tira Capa Coco pendant by Mônica Carvalho lends color and movement guided by the subtlety of the wind, and the tapestry by Carolina Kroff, with its volume and synchrony, fills the space in a subtle and suggestive way: they are pieces that complement each other but do not meet, like island and continent , and the space between them is an experimentation of infinity.

The Workshop of Tomorrow is like a utopia: what would the space where tomorrow is born be like? It would undoubtedly be in the exact and perfect time of now, and it is there that one can be, experience, be in the world and create what we will see of it in tomorrow, which belongs to everyone .
