Just as the name
Urban Refuge suggests, the space by designer Marina Linhares for
CASACOR São Paulo 2018 is a place designed for escapism from everyday life. Installed in the middle of the Jockey Club's greenery, the idea is that the 60-room project m² can be replicated in any place geared towards relaxation, be it a country house, a
rooftop or a beach retreat. “We created a space that speaks of small pleasures, that refers to the home as a sanctuary,” explains Marina.

Following the theme of
A Casa Viva , the professional brought nature into the space with glass walls that, in addition to allowing greater sunlight, also function as a link between the interior and exterior, providing a beautiful view. The project The landscaping was in charge of Alexandre Furcolin.
The two rooms were designed for a young couple who enjoy entertaining and have a variety of hobbies. To enhance the feeling of coziness, the designer opted for lots of wood, fabrics, fibers and cushions. A barbecue grill completes the leisure area.
The trees listed by the city hall serve as a backdrop for the refuge and also appear inside: trunks pass through the living room and end up functioning as sculptures.
