Camilla Bortolini e Priscilla Dias - Estúdio da Designer. Um retorno ao básico, irregular, áspero, cru e bruto. Nesse estúdio, pensado para abrigar uma designer carioca, são as texturas que ditam o ritmo do trabalho. Sai o foco na arte digital, tão presente hoje, e voltam os materiais brutos, com suas texturas, seus cheiros, temperaturas. Eles estão até no teto que ganhou uma forração feita em corda de sisal de obra. Something that has become essential – emotional support – appears in different
self-care environments , such as the
Urban Refuge . There, the trio from
Up3 Arquitetura transforms a balcony into a cozy environment, where the atmosphere is one of
total tranquility . A space where you want to spend hours, in the company of a good book, wine or a friendly shoulder and companion.
The same type of feeling awakened by environments such as
Tempo da Alma , by
Cristina Bezamat , decorated with soft, cozy tones and furniture with organic shapes and comfortable textures.
A trend that gained strength during this period is the use of
handmade objects : ceramics, knitting, embroidery. After all,
DIY has never entered so many homes, even as a form of therapy during times of greater social isolation. And just stroll through the
45 spaces at CASACOR Rio to see all kinds of handcrafted pieces, especially embroidery. They appear in environments such as the
Drummond Room , where
Lucilla Pessoa de Queiroz and
Renata Caiafa opted for paintings that feature
silhouettes of bodies in simple and delicate embroidery.

Another striking feature is the
presence of nature : plants have gained space even in the smallest houses. And in a space like
Residência Brando Barbosa , surrounded by 12 thousand square meters of gardens, green is constant. But some corners are even cozier, like the one created by landscaper
Ana Veras next to the spring discovered on the property's grounds. Or the space created by
Embya to accommodate, in the open, part of the bathroom in
Canto do Poeta , by
Sérgio Conde Caldas and
Patricia Andrade .
CASACOR Rio opens from Tuesday to Sunday until
June 26th at Residência Brando Barbosa, in Jardim Botânico. There are
45 environments decorated by
43 teams of professionals including architects, interior designers and landscapers. Just like last year, the exhibition is hybrid, with an in-person version and a digital version, with
3D tours available on the website!
