At Casa Finitura - a space designed by Deborah Pinheiro for CASACOR Brasília 2019 - the boundaries between inside and outside are blurred. On one side, the garden, completely open and integrated, becomes a room. On the other, a vertical garden with foliage lush spaces act as a wall. There are 307 m² designed as a refuge, a place for socializing and tranquility, a true planet, apart from the chaotic routine.
To maintain the modernist identity, the materials and furniture complement the concrete, both in color and lines. The palette is cooler, composed of woody and bluish tones along with gray; they highlight the bright green of the plants. The furniture, among others, which are pieces by Jader Almeida, have a subtle design and straight lines, following the tradition without “excesses” of modern architecture.
All rooms are integrated, so all occupants can interact with each other, regardless of where they are. This is because the architect wanted to contemplate the habit of receiving family and friends to socialize and have fun. There are no walls or doors separating “rooms” ” and “rooms”, the space is imagined as a whole. Even the bathroom is connected to the rest of the house, thanks to the counter with the sinks. They are located outside the toilet, to function as a washbasin.
